Agree with that. Also, I think a lot of people misunderstand the writ. It was never Liam's intention for it to end up in court, only a tiny percentage of defamation cases actually end up in court.

At the time people on here were condemning Liam / defending Noel saying "but he'd been drinking the night before, he probably was hungover" but that is pure speculation. Noel presented a claim as fact without any evidence and initially refused to retract it. Liam's only options were to let it ride and take the hit to his reputation, or to issue a writ to force Noel to retract it.

It seemed to shock Noel afterwards anyway and for a long time he seemed to think more about what he was saying. Until now, obviously.
