Everyone there had backing tracks, it was only the vocals that were live. I'm not saying I blame them for that. I was just curious.

i don't mean to be the bearer of such bad news but it is interesting to hear his opinion on Oasis-related things. God bless. A man who probably hasn't had any contact with them for a decade or more? And who is seemingly not only a designer but now a medical practitioner too. There's peoples opinions of Oasis i'd rather hear tbh.

I'm not taking everything he says too seriously but he's got a point I think with the cocaine thing, that is why IMO Liam SHOULD NOT be doing any of it... Forget the excuses of "he's a rock star" and all that. With his voice as it is he shouldn't be doing any drugs at all

God bless.

Listened back to it again today a couple of times, it really is a fantastic performance, the second half of it is faultless regarding Liam's vocals. Really glad for them. how stupid will you ever get? 'performance'??!!!!!! it was a shit karaoke thing.

Great performance. Liam did well, a bit nasally but it's ok. The strings sounds great, the band looked very class, appart for Jeff's pants. Liam looked cool as ever.
Really nice moment, great to see the all stadium singing along. It's such a huge anthemn, it's nice the song was part of the ceremony.
As for BDI exposure, at least the world now know that Liam has formed a new band, it's a start. They could have billed it Liam Gallagher's beady eye but

I missed the show last night but listening to Deadman's rip Liam sounds good, nice to hear him sing and not force it.
And is this a new backing track recorded by Beady Eye then? The drums sounds different at 1m 43s.

Anyone have a link where I can actually see the performance and not just the audio of it? Thx. fucking DirectTv decided to take a fucking crapper right as George Michael was finishing his Freedom 90 set. All the while I'm praying for service to resume when all the sudden my phone explodes with texts from friends "your boys are killing it right now closing the Olympics!!" fml

They could have billed it Liam Gallagher's beady eye but I don't think most of the world will remember by the end of the week. Nice moment for Beady Eye, but I don't think people will remember their name whatsoever, mainly because they're not doing anything after this that will keep them in the spotlight anytime soon. People will remember that Liam performed Wonderwall, but I don't think they'll remember that he did it with a new band.

I thought he nailed it and was surprised by the reaction elsewhere. Wonderwall is now 27 on itunes so that's something. WSTMG also at 34 on the album chart. Yeah, it should re-c hart in the UK and a 'few' other countries.
