Great day to be a fan, I'm really happy for the guys, it's evident they enjoyed it. A once-in-a-lifetime event, I'm just glad I got to witness it. Same here. I thought Beady Eye did well, i thought Liam looked a bit nervous at first (kept looking down, had he forgotton the lyrics ?) Its a shame he did sound 'nasally' as for most of the tour this year his voice has been brilliant. Glad they got the slot though, huge worldwide audience and its gotta help as i'm sure some people will still not have heard of Beady Eye. My wifes friend didnt realise Liam had started a new band (?!) Annoyed how much attention Jessie J has got, shes hardly done anything, one 'catchy' tune and suddenly shes on everything, ridiculous. But was great to see Beady Eye

Seems like a lot of Americans also confused Beady Eye for Oasis.

I think they did really well. I love it. A bit shame Liam didn't use the tambourine.

Scrap that... quite a few praising them now. Champagne Supernova, DLBIA etc. also trending. Nice to see the yanks know of other Oasis songs though I think Americans are surprised that an Oasis song was performed and it was the one they all knew. You nailed it there. I was skyping my mom at the time and even she was taken back by it. She knew it was Oasis, and didn't know 90% of everything else. The universal appeal of WW cannot be denied. Every single person in the stadium was singing along, even those who don't speak a lick of English. A true testament to a great "crossover" track!

Jessie J is apparently getting some grief for "we will rock you" GOOD. That was horrible.

Liam Gallagher and 3 dudes who weren't in Oasis when the song was recorded.

Didn't hear it due to Eddie McGuire talking over it.

Listened back to it again today a couple of times, it really is a fantastic performance, the second half of it is faultless regarding Liam's vocals. Really glad for them.

It was a good performance but I really don't like the nasal voice Liam has developed. It's also aparent on DGSS. He did not do it on Dig out your soul. I'm not trying to slag him off but it kind of annoys me

Ya think. They didn't even have a pianist on stage for that outro bit! Of course it was a backing track. Just watch Gem not even change chords a few time during the song.

Brian Cannon also says that the reason Liam's voice has declined over the years is because of cocaine.
"One word - cocaine."
God bless.

Everyone there had backing tracks, it was only the vocals that were live.

i don't mean to be the bearer of such bad news but it is interesting to hear his opinion on Oasis-related things.
