Whatever happened to that thread? Anyway, any news on Beady Eye performing Wonderwall at the closing ceremony? Was it just a rumour or is it really confirmed for next weekend?

Nothing is confirmed officially
It was a list that was "leaked" to the Sun.
But they did have the Who listed, who have since confirmed that they are indeed playing.
Chances are looking pretty good

The rumors look pretty good. Kate Bush, The Who, George Michaels, Ray Davies... I'd be in awe if they got Kate Bush to perform.

It's said everywhere, so it has to be true. Can't wait for this. With Liam's actual voice rested, it should sound absolutely brillant. Not 1995's brillant, but brillant anyway.

^ It's very possible that he'll be miming, so that's a shame, but hope it's a good performance regardless.

It was me that posted that thread after the wife told me Liam was on Digital Spy. I wondered what happened cause I had heard the Who would be playing it. Should be mega man but also has the potential to be cheesy.
No miming please Liam, Daltrey & Macca can pull it off at their age (Just!)

I agree, however much I love Liam, he will probably embarrass himself by either acting to "angry" or his voice will be pure shite... Or both

I agree, however much I love Liam, he will probably embarrass himself by either acting to "angry" or his voice will be pure shite... Or both Liam is a big boy, he's been in the musical buiseness for 20 years, i think he can handle ONE song that he's been singing since 1995. and it will probably be miming a new reccorded version anyway. it'll all be fine really, just good exposure for beady eye, and a good reminder that Liam is as much part of oasis as Noel. the millions and millions of people watching this will juts be happy to see him, end of it. even more than too see noel, cause in the eye of he world, the guy who sings wonderwall gives a better show than the guy who wrote it. really this so called fanbase is so ridiculous sometimes.

I wouldn't have thought it will be that bad, according to the The Who because of the logistics of change around they are having to pre record their parts live. So i assume its the same for all of them.

God bless.
