In an interview with Japanese website honeyee.com Liam Gallagher has said that Beady Eye will start recording the follow up to ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ next month. www.honeyee.com/feature/2012/pretty_green/contents.htmlEarlier this year, Liam Gallagher revealed that he was already planning the band's second album. "It's sounding good" he said. "We've got a bit more writing to do, but we'll go in and record some time this year. If Stone Roses and Beady Eye both release an album next year, everything will be alright." "The first album came straight off the back of Oasis splitting up and we just wanted to be in a band again, so we just went straight in and did it. This time, we're taking our time a bit. We're not worried with having to be out there, we'll be there when the songs are absolutely bang on." Continuing, Liam Gallagher reflected on the rushed nature of the band's debut album. "We had the rug pulled from us by 'a certain someone', we didn't want the band to split up" he insisted. "We wanted to crack on and even when Oasis used to finish tours and talk about having years off, we'd all be like 'We're not getting any younger and if you like something, keep doing it all the time, have six months and then let's make another record'. I really liked DGSS so if that was rushed, and they're taking their time with this one, then hopefully we can expect good things  |

DGSS is a decent album with some good songs and some bad. Think the problem was that it had no real direction as half the songs were left over from Oasis, some were rushed and some had been left unfinished for years. Its been interesting to watch Liam over the past 2 years, they've clearly worked hard but I do think Noel's success and Beady Eye's lack of was a wake up call. The album sounds promising |

So BDI have realised the mistakes they made by rushing the album, I hope they realise others in the album, get rid of Lillywhite and produce it themselves or else get some one forward thinking in to produce. Knock out a few four letter words and the roller-type songs and other songs that'll sound top live and that'll do me |

Hope they choose the very best songs for the album and not chuck songs in to make it up to a 13 track album, I'd rather them release a 10 song album than a 13 song album with 3 filler songs, DGSS was 3 songs to long. Got big hopes for the next album, loved DGSS but this is make or break for Beady Eye, it has to be brilliant.

I think DGSS is good, I havent listened to it this whole year but it was better then I expected from them. I hope the next one will be better. What happened to them being prolific though? Liam said BDI would follow the early Oasis patten of quick single and album releases
