Can't wait. Really like DGSS but hopefully they can top that!
Maybe a wee bit more rockier than DGSS would be to my liking.

I'm hoping that another tour will be announced. Can't wait to see them again live. Even if it means I've now got to travel across the country to do it.

Looking forward to it but it does need to be a big sounding album. Heavy guitars, strings, etc..

I like it how he keeps complaining about the long breaks Oasis used to take:
'We're not getting any younger and if you like something, keep doing it all the time, have six months and then let's make another record'
You see Liam, DGSS is what happens when you take that kind of approach. Quality not quantity. HFB not DGSS.

I enjoyed DGSS and am looking forward to their second album. I wonder who's producing them this time round? Been listening to the Coral's album Butterfly House recently and thought John Leckie did a great job on the production of that record... not to mention The Stone Roses, back in the day! Would be good to hear his take on Beady Eye's sound.

With better tunes, a less retro sound and better production, Beady Eye are more than capable of making a decent album.

Well if you consider that they're on the road for 1-1.5 years, they only have 1.5 years to rest, write and record. Not that long really.

According to gem and Andy, Noel was writing the whole time on oasis tours and took about a year on holiday each time still writing a bit and then a year to record and things. 18 months is a long time when you consider the Beatles recorded please please me album in a days recording obviously that's rediculously quick but theres no way a writer as prolific as Noel Gallagher needs 3 years between each album

For me they're an average band and it really is for one reason: songwriting. They can get all the best producers they want, they can have the great frontman in Liam, they can do ballads or rockers, or whatever, but in the end it still comes down to songwriting. And during the years with Oasis and in Beady Eye, no one in that group has really proven that they are more than either inconsistent or average. I think the follow up will be better than DGSS, mainly because I think it will be more focused, but I think it will be stump of its true potential because of spotty songwriting. If you're a great songwriter you've already won half the battle when making an album. If you're an inconsistent songwriter you've usually lost half the battle already and you need everything else to be great or amazing to make up for that shortcoming. It's why I'll always have more faith in Noel to make at least a somewhat above average album, than I will in Beady Eye.

Agree with all of that Noel is destined for Paul weller like solo success while beady eye will split after 2 or 3 albums

HFB wasn't actually a great album, it really lacked variety of sound, and wasn't so much better than DGSS as implied here. A significant improvement over DGSS could easily top HFB in my opinion, while Noels future attempts might be as inconsistent as later Oasis albums without songs like Record Machine/If I Had a Gun to keep the average up, and the High Horse Lady's out.

Andy Bells lyrics kinda ruined DGSS for me. Still cringe to this day at some of them...

Never said it was a great album (at least not in that post). Kindly read my post again please. I said I have more faith in Noel having an above average album (which I consider HFB's to be), than Beady Eye. Secondly, I never said that Noel's albums would be automatically better, I just said that there was a greater chance that he could stay more consistent. What you're implying I said is completely different from what I actually said. Thirdly, Noel's songwriting has usually been consistent (barring SOTSOG and HC). Take, DOYS and DBTT, imo I'd say HHL and MF are two below average songs on both those albums (one being below average because of poor songwriting, the other being average because of poor production). That's 11 songs combined, 2 below average to average songs. That's consistent. And a significant improvement in DGSS would be the songwriting. Hence songwriting being half the battle. It's incredibly difficult to get past inconsistent songwriting. Imo, the difference between HFB and DGSS is clearly a lack of sufficient songwriting. The production is good enough, Liam's vocals are good, and there was a nice variety of arrangements, but the songwriting was lacking. A variety of sound is far easier to fix (meaning HFB's going from an above average album to a great album), than a lack of consistent songwriting (meaning DGSS going from a slightly below average album to a great album).

Putting three average songwriters together will not produce a great songwriting partnership.
I haven't heard anything from Andy or Gem either during or before Oasis which I'd consider a great tune. Turn Up The Sun is the only truly good song from either of them.
As for Liam, the less said about him the better.

Agree with all of that Noel is destined for Paul weller like solo success while beady eye will split after 2 or 3 albums This is by far the most optimistic post in this section. I find it highly unlikely Noel will ever get anywhere near the quality and variety of Weller. Nothing in his first release has suggested so and it appears he's about to shelve the project where he took some chances. Very un-weller like. And yeah we get it, you don't think much of BE. As far as Beady Eye go, songwriters do improve for albums and do get worse. No matter how good or legendary you are. There is always a chance a great songwriter will put out some shit or an average one will produce the work of their lives. Been happening since the beginning. I take very little for certain in regard to anyone.

You got your opinion I got mine I might be proved I might be proved wrong but noel will most definitely have a very fruitful solo career. As for beady eye they might release something half decent but I will be surprised if there still going 5 years from now.Bu then Liam will probably want to reform oasis Liam needs noel more than noel needs him that's for sure.

Agree with all of that Noel is destined for Paul weller like solo success while beady eye will split after 2 or 3 albums BDI wont split They will if the next album doesn't perform and audiences drop off. Without Noel to lash out on, Liam will turn his temper on one of the others and someone will walk. However, having said that, Andy and Gem are such "yes" men that they'll probably just take it. They know what side their bread is buttered on. So maybe you're right.
