I think RnRS is as good an Oasis song as any. The Morning Glory isn't nearly as good as the Oasis version so I think that should maybe be changed. Should have at least gotten Gem and Andy to do the "weeeelll" There are so many other Oasis songs were Noel was a much subtler presence and so might have worked better since apparently Andy and Gem don't want to fill the backing vocal void for some reason. Would have been nice if they'd picked some less obvious Oasis songs as well. The new song actually doesn't make much of an impact. Another mid-tempo BDI sond was not what I was hoping for. I was hoping for something more in the spirit of FLW. That's the kind of tune they are lacking in the BDI catelogue. Nice to keep positive gdforever

There a hundreds and hundreds of version of Liam singing it out there...some better some worse.

"Morning Glory isn't nearly as good as the Oasis version" ...sounds too harsh and unnecessary for me tbh!
and I guess the songs were picked cos the crowd appeal, but I agree with you at some point, cos I would have liked something more risky ("stand by me" for example) It's true. I'd rather listen to a old Oasis bootleg. It's not that the band or Liam are bad...it's just better with the backing vocals...the major difference between the version. It loses something withough them IMO. Stand by me would be something to consider. However, it seems like they are using the Oasis songs the increase the energy of the gig. But if their new BDI song has been something faster paced maybe. I was thinking more Headshrinker. Rocking Chair. I Hope I Think I Know. Maybe Hung in a Bad Place or Eyeball Tickler if you wanted a LAG song. So many really. There is no way Liam could pull out headshrinker or rockin chair anymore

I can't even fathom complaining about hearing Morning Glory live. It's one of the best Oasis tunes and it destroys live; I'd pay $30 to just hear that with or without Noel!

Well what an amazing night last night. Again thanks to 'turtle' as i wouldnt have been able to go as she gave me her spare code for the gig.
Atmosphere was superb, being an oldie (39) its great to see a mix of old Oasis fans there but also there were a lot of youngsters, tons of people in Pretty Green as well obviously.
The gig was great, Liam was on top form, he seems much 'happier' on stage and with the crowd and not getting into any petty fights or arguments.
The set was great, the new Beady Eye song i really like, was nervous about a second album and how it would be but after hearing this song i'm looking forward to it (As i was nervous after hearing Bring the light the other year). Then of course the two Oasis tunes, i'm glad Liam did them, were brilliant, people might say it wasnt the same but come on, being able to hear those songs by Liam again was epic.
And to the moaney git on twitter saying people should enjoy the gig and not take pictures/videos its ridiculous. If this was a 20 city tour then fair enough, but this was an epic little gig, first time Oasis songs in years sung by Liam, new BDI song as well, just wanted to 'share with the people'.
A brilliant night, loved Beady Eye before but now even more so, very very good set, they were on fire last night. Hope they do well on saturday (I've sadly got tickets for sunday !)

I'm so happy they didt it !!!
You're complaining about shit. The crows takes the "well" part pretty well. Must have been amazing to be there.
I never thought I would hear Liam sing MG again, one of my fav song of all time. A killer live. Same for rock n roll star.
If someone wants to explain to me again that Liam shouldn't sing them after those amazings versions I'm listening !!!!
Rock on Beady eye !!

So Liam complains about Noel and calls him every name under the sun but uses Noel's songs to try and get a bit of interest for his band. What a fucking embarrassment.

How much interest will two Oasis songs in their set generate? I would guess not much. People who don't like BDI are unlikely to pay £25 to see a few Oasis songs. Noel was unlikely to play these particular two songs again, so really, whats the problem?

Load of rubbish, so what if Liam does a few Oasis songs ? Be a shame if they're never sung again by Liam. Just dont take Liams rants seriously. As the other poster said if he wanted more interest he would do far more Oasis tunes than just two. Honestly some people just want to bitch and whine whatever dont they

Last night was amazing.. Got the whole thing recorded... Got some fantastic pics too. My girlfriend also filmed the new tune and rnrs. They are really good quality, better than the ones I've seen posted on here.
I won't be able to upload anything until Sunday as I'm going to see them again Saturday.
I reckon they'll do the exact same set list for the roses support slot, think it clicked in at 1 hour 5 mins (or around that) That's the only thing that disappointed me last night, way too short.

I can't make my mind up on that new song, i'll need a better recording or else wait until the studio version before making a comment. Hopefully we get something soon.
Surprised that truthfaith isn't here telling the people that were at the gig that it wasn't amazing at all....considering the multiple page argument he had with a guy before who dared to call a NGHFB gig similar.

I'm not sure I like the new one either, obviously difficult to tell with the recording. Not that I think its bad but perhaps not my cup of tea. Pretty pointless bringing that up though deasy55 unless you intention is to start a multiple page argument in this thread too.

Nah just pointing out a very interesting double standard. I'm not going to mention it anymore, so there will be no multiple page incidents from me at least.

Stand by me could have been great...Noel barely cares about it anymore, so BDI could have take it as a surprise value. But they had to be popular songs, cos they're aiming to play more bigger venues, rather than the intimates ones.
Rocking Chair..you'll have to re arrange that in order for Liam to sing it.

I wish people would stop comparing the 2 bands live, and in this case, stop shitting on BDI for playing those particular songs. If they played DLBIA then I think we'd all be like "What the fuck was that?". They picked 2 songs that Noel will never play. I agree with GD, Andy and Gem should just sing the "well" part. It's cool to have the crowd scream it back, but they should just go for it.
Playing a few Oasis songs is not some kind of magical shortcut that will rocket BDI into playing stadiums and it's not like they're re-recording the songs and putting them on their new album. Chill the hell out people.
As far as the new song though...I'm not a fan after a couple listens. Another ballad that doesn't really do anything or go anywhere. The only positive thing I can say is it sounds like a BDI song, so it seems they've settled into their own sound.

I doubt BDI gig was as amazing as an Oasis one, the same way I doubt HFB's ones is. But tbf, this Rock N roll star is actually an "oustanding" version, Noel's song in the other argument was just not. In the end, a bdi gig with some Oasis song is the closest thing to a Oasis show.

Another point.
Morning glory and Rock n roll star are famous but there not singles. It's not like he played Wonderwall or Supersonic. It's mostly for the fans.

I just think Liam talking shit about Noel then using his songs is embarrassing. I don't have a problem with Oasis tunes as lobas they are his, Andy's or Gem's. Made me lose the last bit of respect I had for him.

Enjoyed the videos of the new song & the two Oasis tunes. Morning Glory is probably my favourite Oasis tune so to see Liam singing it makes me happy.

Nearly his half setlist was Oasis songs FFS.... I think he meant the comments early last year while Noel hadn't talked publicly at all for the year and a half since the split. Things like: "Beady Eye will be bigger than Oasis" "Oasis was a pop band compared to what we're doing." (I love that one. ) "[Noel] will come crawling back very fucking soon" That the songs of DGSS were as good as DM if not better. He really hasn't said much since Noel's set list since he has been on tour. BDI were winding up their tour when Noel went on tour.
