So, it's about a week to the Warrington gig (6 days, I think?)
What do we all think the setlist will be? Do we think there will be any special appearances? Will they play Oasis songs? Etc, etc.
DISCUSS!

I'm hoping-actually they can't really as their doing festivals right? I was just going to say that they should maybe extend their setlist, but festival setlists are shorter I think(?). I'm hoping for Liam, Gem, Andy-Oasis penned songs. A lot of people (I've seen around the forum) are hoping for Live Forever, but I personally wouldn't want that. It would be weird hearing Liam trying to do the falsetto this time around(-if he can do it, good on him) or having Gem/Andy do it (they better not) or if Liam tries getting the crowd to do it and they don't. Last December, it was voted by us fans as the #1 Oasis song out of every single one. That said, I wouldn't turn my head away if they did do that one. I wouldn't mind them doing the lesser known Noel songs as much. Depending on which Oasis songs they do, I'd say 2 to maybe 4 (which may be too much I think) Oasis songs in their set I wouldn't mind. Hopefully Liams been taking care of his voice.

Firstly I'mhoping they play a decent sized set list as I've got a 6 hour drive to get there xD TSR only did a short set there I think a few weeks ago. 3-4 Oasis songs and 1 or 2 new ones would be nice as well I'm not really fussed how Liam sounds though to be honest, you can never really tell at gigs unless he is absolutely awful. Cardiff in 2008 I thought he sounded brilliant at the gig then listening back on youtube it was just as bad as all the other gigs around that time. I'm not expecting him to blow me away though, he's always at his worst in between tours (Glastonbury 2004/Brits 2007) I wouldn't be surprised if the setlist was something close to this 1.FLW 2.New song (up tempo rocker) 3.The Roller 4.Cigarettes and Alcohol 5.Bring The Light 6.Kill For A Dream 7.Three Ring Circus 8.Songbird 9.In the bubble with a bullet 10.New Song 11.Live Forever 12.Wigwam Encore 13.Supersonic 14.The Morning Son 15.A new Cover Song (No idea what)

There's no way they'll play 8 Oasis songs! I think 4 is the maximum they will play. I can't wait, just under a week now, hope they play a new song or two.

Champagne Supernova is a dead cert for Heaton Park gigs. As for Warrington I think there will be a couple of early Oasis rockers on the set list, especially seeing as Gem & Andy are big fans of that era & should encourage Liam to play them. Also Songbird will probably be in there. Having thought about it, I'd love to hear any one of these, which I think are plausable to be played - Shakermaker, Fags & Booze, Bring It On Down, Headshrinker, BetterMan, TUTS, A Bell Will Ring, Eyeball Tickler, DYKWIM, HIABP, Love Like A Bomb and Lyla. What about a bit of Street Fighting Man?!!...Anyone?

Probably just me but I'd like to hear them cover I Am The Resurrection, maybe a slightly shorter version. I hope they play Headshrinker too. I'd love to hear the mighty Beady Eye's take on it.

I'm very eager to know what the boys have prepared. I think expecting at least an Oasis song or two is pretty certain. I'm more cautious regarding new material, but I'm optimistic and really hope they preview at least one song.
And I really hope Liam's voice is good and we get a nice bootleg,

I'm hoping for a new BDI song. Something rocking hopefully.
That'd be awesome! Can't imagine them playing too much off the next album since it's probably quite a while until it's finished.
So unfortunate that they didn't keep to their album-a-year idea. They've been off tour for 9 or 10 months. I would have expected them to have been ready to release information about the next album any minute.
It was exciting to hear them talk like that. I had hoped the enthusiasm would have carried them through a couple records at least but I guess not.
I wonder if their album had gotten the reception in the UK that Noel's did if they might have gotten to the next album quicker.

I'm much more happier that they are taking their time with this one, this is a big big album for Beady Eye, it's make or break for them as a band as far as I'm concerned. I love the first album, I think it's great but sadly that opinion isn't shared by a wide scale of the audience. So I think it's promising they are taking their time, making sure they pick the right songs and properly put time in to it. I imagine it'll be out around January, still a much quicker release than we would of got with Oasis. I really really hope they play a new song at the Warrington gig, dying to hear what it's sounding like.

I'd be wary of hoping for new songs. An Oasis song or two, sure, but their second record will undoubtedly be compared to NGHFB and WTS(MG?). If Liam wishes to further establish himself as an songwriter/artist instead of just being the "frontman from Oasis", he'll have to have some top-notch material that he and the rest of Beady Eye are truly confident in.
Considering such, they'll most likely be very cautious about debuting new material, especially in the live format. A great new song could be impeded by sound issues or a bad night vocally for Liam.

Quick question, what are you all taking as I.D to get your tickets for Warrington? Just standard I.D or the receipt as well for buying the tickets just in case?

Well its only 6 and a bit months since they finished the tour so its a bit optimistic to think they have done writing and recording. They have been in the studio within 3 or 4 months of finishing the tour which is encouraging. I thought you were one of those who people who felt they had rushed the debut and should take more time over the next one?

Don't you find it weird there has been no support announced? Does that mean Beady Eye will be on earlier than the usual 9pm start? I don't see a reason opening the doors at 7 if they don't start till 9.

I dunno if they will be cautious, Oasis used to do this at different points in their carear, (My Big Mouth, A Bell Will Ring) dependant on the tour. Introducing new songs live can also be a good thing, keep things fresh & get the fans talking. Vocally good or not.

I don't see a reason opening the doors at 7 if they don't start till 9. When the Stone Roses played in Amsterdam there was no support either. Just a 'support DJ' which was really no different from the usual music playing before the gig. The doors then opened at 6.30 and Roses played at 9. At least you can get some beers in before the gig.

I might be wrong though That's right, they're supporting them just like they did on their 2nd European dates last year. The front man of the band, Andy Crofts has been playing a keyboard for Weller since 2008 and he's playing "Art School" with Weller on the stage since 2010. The music of The Moons are very 60's, a good band and Crofts is a very talented musician.

I remember having the internet in the early days, a fan recorded my big mouth and a bell will ring (as they werent played in the live radio recording) and listening to those crackly mp3's for ages until the album came out and i heard those two properly. Dont realise how lucky we are now with youtube recordings and other downloads (Saying that theres so many bad youtube recordings, dont know why some people bother)
