Liam sounds good yes, a lot of strength in his voice, not running out of breath or anything and finishing each verse strong but.... I gotta be honest here, I hate the fact that he's not singing the "well...." parts. Not liking that at all. Sure, the crowd chips in chanting that part of the chorus but come on Liam, I know he could do it if he wanted to

Kinda sounds like 'Badhead' by Blur?

My interpretation of the chorus...
'But I'd love to let you know, That the world's not set in stone. And I've called to say I'm home, There's no need to be alone.'
Quite like the sound of that, could be a bit repetitive though.

Totally forgot about this gig. Nice surprise logging on to find RNRS and a new song! Quite like the sound of the new song. Hope the production is a bit more rough than DGSS though.

Nah I don't think so "So I guess that you might as WELLLLLL..." isn't that different from "Sleep walk away your like if it turns you ONnnnn..." Maybe it has to do with the fact that one is the first line he sings in the gig while the other is after several songs. I'm just saying he could and should give it a try

video with better sound of Morning Glory...
incredible reception by the crowd, such a crazy atmosphere. It's unfortunate that we haven't seen this at Noel's gigs because he wrote all the music but... unfortunately he just can't deliver those songs the way Liam and co. can.

Well you obviously haven't seen Noel in the UK. The crowd went nuts at the gigs i went to.

Seems like a amazing performance, must feel amazing to hear these songs in a small atmosphere instead of a large stadium, new song sounds fantastic!

Hope they change the setlist for the stone roses gig. Maybe change the oasis songs to Liver forever and a LAG written song. Get rid of SOTEOTN and add one more oasis song.

I think RnRS is as good an Oasis song as any. The Morning Glory isn't nearly as good as the Oasis version so I think that should maybe be changed. Should have at least gotten Gem and Andy to do the "weeeelll"
There are so many other Oasis songs were Noel was a much subtler presence and so might have worked better since apparently Andy and Gem don't want to fill the backing vocal void for some reason.
Would have been nice if they'd picked some less obvious Oasis songs as well.
The new song actually doesn't make much of an impact. Another mid-tempo BDI sond was not what I was hoping for. I was hoping for something more in the spirit of FLW. That's the kind of tune they are lacking in the BDI catelogue.

"Morning Glory isn't nearly as good as the Oasis version" ...sounds too harsh and unnecessary for me tbh!
and I guess the songs were picked cos the crowd appeal, but I agree with you at some point, cos I would have liked something more risky ("stand by me" for example)

I'd rather listen to a old Oasis bootleg. It's not that the band or Liam are bad...it's just better with the backing vocals...the major difference between the version. It loses something withough them IMO. Stand by me would be something to consider. However, it seems like they are using the Oasis songs the increase the energy of the gig. But if their new BDI song has been something faster paced maybe. I was thinking more Headshrinker. Rocking Chair. I Hope I Think I Know. Maybe Hung in a Bad Place or Eyeball Tickler if you wanted a LAG song. So many really.
