other underrated albums in the States would be about any album by Ocean Colour Scene. God bless. Hardly people know of The Jam or Paul Weller either here in the states, but everyone knows Jay-z... So true rain jay z sells out MSG but Welles plays small venues like the Apollo or rose land great places for gigs but he couldn't sniff MSG and he's a fucking legend!!!!!

Know doubt weller and the jam werent hell bent on conquering America they are truly a quintessential uk band and I mean that as a huge compliment having spent so much time in London and Manchester thru the years ....years ago long before you were on here based on your post total ( not a judgement just saying it based on your posts your opinions are solid I just mean I've covered this numerous time s about the jam and weller) I always said there are 3 bands that I consider quintessentially English in that they were bigger in the uk and didnt hide there accents while singing like some big bands The jam Oasis The smiths You listen to them and it drips uk and I love it they all sing of stuff growing up British and there voices let you know it all three would have loved to break big anywhere I'm sure but are quite happy being so huge in uk as they should be

You probably read to much NME GMT. There Debut was good but nothing earth shattering while their second had the classic Can't Stand me now buta lot of filler, Culture Changing Band? you must lay off the bong.

A bit bigger but not anywhere near arena status when there were big here they sold out beacon Apollo rose land ,,medium gigs no stadium like there sadly we are not that cool not all of us anyway they have gotten respect though....last morrissey tour was at Apollo very well received but not huge ,,,sad but better sound in small places as u know

The second album was thrown together after Pete Doherty was kicked out of the band, and is sloppy but has some great songs on it. speaking of overrated, isn't the guy from the Artic Monkeys in your avatar pic? again, personal preference but i haven't heard anything that great from the Artic Monkeys, i certainly wouldn't consider them the heir to Oasis as they've been labeled.... God bless.

God bless. Well i respect your opinion but disagree, the Monkeys had the biggest selling debut album, Two number 1 singles, 5 star reviews. Won ton of awards, did 80,000 stadium gig over two nights in Manchester. I never taught they were an Oasis more in the vein of the Jam, Stoen roses and The Smiths for me .The Libertines only made an impact with the NME crowd and barely ever made the charts. Americans have taste then if they are ignored, god bless. btw Nope I'm Irish.

Loves Arctic Monkeys but hates Libertines, why do that if one band copied the sound of the other, you should like both bands lahaine.

He think's it sounds to 80's. I disagree with him though that album has got some real tunes and since he got Pete Townshend to write the lyrics for a couple of songs it sort of adds to the whole album. I still like Waters' Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking more than About Face but it's still a very good album. On that note I think the most underrated albums is Richard Wright's Broken China. It is easily the best Floyd-solo album. For anyone who hasn't heard it I highly recommend it. It is a classic Floyd-style album. It's also a concept album for anyone who's interested. I love that album but another sad thing there, hardly anyone outside the die hard Floyd community has heard it. Anyway for anyone who hasn't heard it already go pick it up, it'll be worth it!

I like their debut album a lot but didn't really like the two albums that followed besides a track here and there. Suck It and See has atleast 5-6 tracks I love.
