Blur's self titled, and Modern Life is Rubbish. Two of the most cohesive and quality albums they released Modern Life Is Rubbish definitely my favourite Blur album. The craze should have started with that album not with Parklife, which is of similar quality in my opinion. However, I think Blur's masterpiece is 13, yet overlooked somewhat. Always loved Trailer Park personally.

I dunno that 13 was their masterpiece, I personally don't think they ever made one. Every one of their albums had things keeping them from perfection, I find them all pretty close in terms of quality. 13 was one of the best (shout out to Caramel for being above genius), but I didn't think especially better than Think Tank or Blur

New Radicals- Maybe You've been Brianwashed Too You get What You Give is probably one of the most famous 1 hit wonders but this album is full of really great Pop, Rock and Ballads. Sadly the main guy went on to write Ronan Keating's Life is a Rollacoaster. Good call. Love this album.

^new radicals were, believe it or not, essentially a 'one-man band', with gregg alexander playing most of the instruments with the help of a few session musicians... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Radicalsi have the 'maybe you've been brainwashed too' album, it's been sitting on my cd rack for years collecting dust.... i will have to give it a spin this week and check it out.

Gregg Alexander, yeah he was a one man band. You should give it another spin its a wonderful album. I remember Uncut and Mojo given it some amazing reviews when it came out. He mixes his influences very well Beatles, Prince, Style council etc very well. Its a very dark record in places but every summer i give it a spin cause its a top summer album to blast out. I think many people were turned off to listening to it cause he wrote songs for Ronan Keating and Texas.

For me they made 5 classics (Modern Life is rubbish, Parklife, Blur,13 and Think Tank). I still think Parklife is their masterpiece even though Albarn and Coxon would disagree. Just a great mixture of Pop, Disco, rock, balladry and show tunes and sits very very British. This is a Low is their masterpiece too.

A lost treasure for me would be The Sun Came Up by 7 Worlds Collide a side project by Neil Finn from Crowded House with members of Radiohead, Wilco, Johnny Marr, Kt Tunstall, Tim Finn, Bic Runga. It was released for charity for Oxfam and the songs were written, recorded over three weeks in New Zealand. A double album to booth as well and i have to say its a great one at that. out of the 24 songs only one or two are filler.

Not a clunker in lp from like 86 or so knocking at your back door perfect strangers and my favorite by far anyone who drunk or hungover the next morning will appreciate it and it has a killer Blackmore riff. WASTED SUNSETS

IMO only Parklife, Blur and MDIR are great but not masterpiece, 13 has some great songs on it but it's a mess overall and some songs sounds misplaced with the rest, Tender and C&T were only there to sell the album. Leisure and TT are both shit.

13 has some of Blur's best work on it. Like all their albums, I find them good but could use a little trimming of fat. IMO 13 is their most interesting offering.
People don't tend to have a lot to say about the Smashing Pumpkins' Pisces Iscariot but it is a very solid collection of unreleased tracks and bsides. Their Masterplan, if you will. Released after Siamese Dream and before the massive success of Mellon Collie. It often gets overlooked as an extras collection but the songs are great and it flows well as an album in its own right.

Billy Corgan is a prolific songwriter. I wish people I know would still appreciated him today as they did when I was in High School in the mid to late 90s. He was a God to many in American high schools. Loads of people wearing the "Zero" t-shirt. Sadly the glimmer pants never caught on to the masses.

Manic Street Preachers - Know Your Enemy Paul Westerberg - Eventually and 14 Songs
Also I second the nods for HMS Fable and Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too.

Time Of My Life by 3 Doors Down is a great album. Every song on the album is really good. But no one seems to give them enough credit. Definitely a very underrated album.

Lennon, what did you think of Oceania? I was pleasantly surprised to say the least since I hated Zeitgeist and went into this LP with zero expectations. Couldn't get into the Zeitgeist album at all. I really liked the following songs on Oceania though: - The Celestials - Violet Rays - One Diamond, One Heart - Pinwheels - Oceania - Pale Horse It was produced very well. What did you think?

I prefer much their underrated Lifeblood better. But hey ho, that's your way of looking and this is mine. Kudos for you for liking the manics.

The Magic Numbers,Loved this Debut album when it came out, got a ton of critcal praise, did well commercial and they were the highlight of many festivals back in 2006. But sadly they never got close to topping this perfect debut with two disapponting follow ups.

Those Dancing Days,A swedish teenage 5 piece who sadly never got the attention they deserved apart from a couple of mentions in the NME. I find it hard to chose between their first or second album but i give the nod to their first cause they were trying to hard to be cool during the second album time for me plus the First album had the better singles. "In Our space Hero Suits" released in 2007, check out their second album too its more poppy and better produced but i always felt it was trying to hard to impress.

Even if this is oasis forum. Most Oasis and Noel Gallagher underrated here in the states.
Foo Fighters-The Colour and the Shape. Most likely in the top 10 best albums of the 90's. Quite popular band, but before their One by One album. They didn't had a huge following. In fact, when the The Colour and the Shape was released people remembered them for Mentos parody or Dave being in the band Nirvana. It's one those albums you can listen to start to finish.
The Doors- Soft Parade. Written off as their bad album, but many good songs on it.

Not enough people listen or speak about this Beck album anymore. It might be my favorite from him.
