For godsake noel, change it fuckin up once in awhile. How can they not get bored of the same setlist night after night. Take some bloody notes from Pearl jam.

Yeah he is a lazy bastard our Noel. Fair enough keeping the same setlist for the first uk dates, But he should be changing it by now.
Hope for the area tour he changes it.

He's too stressed on stage to even change a move during a song, so the set list...

Why are you surprised, Oasis didn't change the setlist often too. The real surprise in 10 years was My big mouth back in 2009, but the version wasn't even great.

Why are you surprised, Oasis didn't change the set list often I don't get the surprise either. Oasis never changed their set list. The set list they started the tour with was the set list they finished the tour with. It's why I stopped collecting oasis boots. Besides the banter there is no difference between any show.

Saw an interview with Noel where he blamed the rigid Oasis setlists on Liam, who couldn't remember the words to many songs.
So yeah, I was half hoping he'd switch the set about a bit.

I don't know why he would blame Liam, Noel has always given his reasons for not changing the setlist to much. I remember him using a Smiths analogy and whether you agree with them or not they are not completely unreasonable. Although i'm not sure if he realises how many fans at the gigs are multiple Noel giggers.

Fair enough him playing Wonderwall every gig, But surely he could change the likes of The good rebel and mucky fingers. Not a lot of people would complain.

You have to realise the majority if people don't buy tickets for every show or download all the bootlegs so why should they miss out on some tunes just because somebody on the internet threw a hissy fit.

As people are starting to realise Noel blamed a lot of things on Liam that weren't his fault, certainly not solely his fault. 9 Oasis songs when gigging a new album and people are surprised he hasn't changed the set list?? He hasn't even got the bollocks to play all his new songs live

On the other hand Noel has been releasing music for 17 years now so he has a massive back catologue to call on not to mention some of the songs off his new record. It's lazy and disrespectful to his fans.

I really don't see where people get their sense of entitlement from.

You apply that comment to anyone who posts an opinion that is either not in line with Noel's or is not entirely complimentary of Noel. Which suggests that you should maybe 'Take your head out of Noel's ass'.

I don't really understand the people who complains. Noel could play some b sides of the HFB but that's it. He could also do The Masterplan and he will surely latter. But he's very limited in the Oasis repertoire. What do you want him to sing ? Rockn roll star? I don't think so... And he doesn't want to do too many Liam's related songs, he said so himself. So basically there's no much more left, sad song or it's better people kind of stuff, but they wouldn't add so much to the setlist. And Noel is so lazy, he' won't change one songs until the end of the tour.

I'm not throwing a hissy fit :-) I simply bought tickets for one gig and won't get more until the next album comes out.
With regards to people saying his repertoire is small, how about:
Who put the weight of the world on my shoulders? Falling Down A simple game of genius Sad Song Masterplan Angel Child Rockin Chair Lord don't slow me down Part of the queue Going Nowhere Acoustic + mike Rowe piano versions of any song Liam sang lead on. Supersonic sounds great...

Rockin ChairLord don't slow me down Part of the queue Going Nowhere Acoustic + mike Rowe piano versions of any song Liam sang lead on. Supersonic sounds great... He doesn't want to fall into that. He doesn't want other Liam related songs and he's right. Accoustic version of Oasis, it's deja vu, he's done that during the STC tour. And Supersonic in accoustic has absolutely no interest. It's just a nostalgia moment. But the song is made to be in electric with Liam, it's his essence, this accoustic version sounds kind of bluesy, wich pretty much ruins the spirit of the song to me.

Nah, I've heard electric supersonic live 10 times.
I love the new version. I'm not suggesting he fills his set with these, but a couple of acoustic songs, like he is doing now is nice - and it's the easiest part of the set for him to switch songs around in because the band don't need to learn and rehearse them. He could easily swap in slide away or whatever...
PS rocking chair oops my bad. Been listening to the tct gigs a lot recently...

You need to realize, Noel and most acts are not performing for the fans watching on youtube or looking for bootlegs online. They are performing for the people who paid money to be at that show and they want to play the set they feel is best. If the set is the best for NY it should be the best for Boston. Also, keep in mind the band can only learn so many songs, it's not like he's touring with Gem, Andy and Liam. Noel also said that he doesn't think it's fair to fans who want to hear a certain song but then it's pulled out of the set list the day you see the show.

People stating "why am I surprised?". Well the answer is I'm NOT. I'm fed up. A great band or artist can change it up on any givin night on stage and wants to. I saw Pearl Jam this summer 2 nights in a row in toronto. They played almost 30 tunes each night and only 3 were the same as the night b4.

To the people saying the band are new and can only learn so many songs - they're professional musicians and Oasis songs are not difficult.
When Noel says he keeps the same set to be fair to the fans I think that's justification post-event.
Truth is, touring is business to Noel. See his leap to arenas as soon as possible. Ka-ching! He sees it as his job. Why make it harder?
