i'm going to the concert to have a good time and to listen to all the classics and new songs. that's why i'm going to see noel. i don't care if i am listen to don't look back in anger or wonderwall for the 123784612847961247894 time. i will celebrate it as powerful as always 'cause i love those songs.
sure it would be nice to listen to one of the rare ones, but it wouldn't bother me if he's not playing a tune like rockin chair.

martinpaul might just be the dumbest person on this forum, and that's saying something. Dumb? why is that? Because you don't agree? I've been to every Oasis tour since 94 and I am bored of hearing the same songs time and time again. Oasis, come the last few years were a parody of their former selves. I'm fed up with hearing the same songs every time and I would like Noel to let his new music stand alone without relying on the crutch of songs from over 15 years ago. If saying that makes me dumb then fair enough. The problem with this forum is that if anyone expreses a slightly anti Noel opinion or expresses disappointment about the potential set list like me they get shot down by all the self appointed Noel police. (Not specifically you) Noel was a genius, he isn't anymore and hasn't been for a long time, he probably could be again but he can't be bothered and if as fans you're all happy with him taking money for something in part done over 15 years ago then fair enough. It's all he ever talks about, wanting to tour MG on the 15th anniversary, doing a Be Here Now naked it's all harking back to the past. I don't expect his new stuff to match those heights but just because I don't agree with him relying on 15 year old songs to get people to come to his shows that doesn't make me dumb. But again, posters on here have a different opinion to me, I haven't abused them, I've questioned them but because I dare to slightly criticse Noel I get picked on like I'm the fat kid in the payground

Noel isn't relying on his old songs, he has 12 new ones in the spotlight!!!
The reason you are 'picked on' is because you are chatting utter dung bollocks material.

For the record, I've been here for nearly a year now and I still don't see why people are so negative about NL4E. Most of the time he is one of the few who talk sense. Still, martinpaul, if you're not going to a Noel gig cause he's playing a few Oasis songs in addition to 95% of his solo tunes...do I need to finish that sentence? The key to your question is "I've been here for nearly a year". You missed many of NL4E's more "memorable" moments. He has matured, and become a very good member. That's not to say that he wasn't a good member before. But believe me, if you had been here I'd say before 2010, then you would understand. Now it's just more of a running inside joke, which people who have been here for 2 years or more get. But yeah, no one means any harm by it. Not like before, when NL4E was basically the most picked on member on this forum. And when he came up with some of the most weird, random, dumb, and sycophantic posts in this forum's history. Now though, it's just a friendly inside joke.

Back to the topic, the Oasis songs I wanna hear from Noel include DLBIA, Slide Away, Rockin' Chair, Going Nowhere (this is a must if he has the horns), Listen Up, TIOBI, The Hindu Times (would be great acoustic and to hear a full acoustic version), Fade Away, Shout It Out Loud, Underneath the Sky, Idler's Dream but I know a lot of these are never gonna happen.

Yeah NL4E was one of the first guys who stood out to me as a good member. I don't agree with all his opinions, but that isn't what makes someone a good poster, is it? There's people who I agree with their general thoughts but come across as tools and vice versa. NL4E is thoughtful in what he writes, and obviously a diehard to the bone.
Plus I believe he's actually English so there's another box ticked

I don't wanna hear Noel doing Teenage Cancer Trust-style Oasis tunes. I wanna hear the Manchester 2005 version of Don't Look Back In Anger.

I was always surprised Noel doesn't get sick of playing the same songs over and over again. I always wanted him to play more songs from SOTSOG because that has some great live songs on it, they even stopped playing Gas Panic. I wouldn't agree that he lost his genius but he didn't bother playing the many good songs imo that he made after MG. On the upcoming tour he will be playing completely new material but he won't really consider the die hard fan who wants to hear different songs taken out of the closet, he will think that the fans want to hear the classics and for the most part of the crowd that is what they want. I just wish he'd play the songs he feels like playing not what idiots screaming Wonderwall want.

I will say this till the end of time, "because of the break-up, this forum will never ever be the same". And those who were here before the break-up, know exactly what I mean.

I was just thinking. We're actually going to be getting 14 new songs from this album...not 13.
We were thinking this means that Noel is going to be playing every tune on the album, save STC, and all 3 b-sides. But there is still ASGOG. So there are 2 NGHFB songs that he isn't playing live.
I hope that the ones he is leaving off are just because he hasn't nailed them live yet but they are gonna continue to work on them like BDI did and bring them in later.

Yes, I would think that there would be 2 more singles after the release of the album. Which is usually the case. Which means about half the album tracks will be singles.

Noel mentioned the first single being 1 of 4. So I think that they have tagged 4 tracks as singles for now. I think that there will be 1 more planned for after the album. I doubt they are planning for 5 singles.
Although despite there having been 3 singles each market has only gotten 2 each...so maybe there will be 2 more singles.

I doubt they are planning for 5 singles. Although despite there having been 3 singles each market has only gotten 2 each...so maybe there will be 2 more singles. I think that the 4th single may be a world wide single. Something that will be released just after the release of it in the UK. Possibly a week or two after. That way it comes only 3 weeks before the US release. And then you have another worldwide single just after the US release. I don't think we'll have another single before the album. I believe that's why they may be lining up the video releases and the b-side releases. So that a combination of the two can be used to generate as much promotion for the album as a single would. Which if that's what they're planning to do, then I would find that brilliant. Because I do believe that that method would generate just as much, if not more promotion among the casual and hardcore Oasis fanbase. Which is what he need. Because of course, Beady Eye only received the hardcore fans when DGSS was released. I think Noel is thinking much more about the casual and hardcores. And I also bared out, if one looks at the choice of the first 3 singles. TDOYAM was a safe pick for a lead single. Nothing that would alienate most or any of the hardcore or casual fans for that matter, yet was really good. While WAL, I don't think was ever meant for any of us hardcore. Rather it was meant to widen his audience, and was possibly more geared toward casual fans. So in that sense, he kind of did the opposite way Beady Eye did. Rather than coming out with the random single like WAL first, as Beady Eye did with BTL. He came out with TDOYAM. A nice safe single.

"they're mine, the end" - Noel Gallagher After reading that interview, it sure sounds as if a certain someone has poked their head in at this thread....IDGAF if Noel plays oasis songs on his tour, just NOT THE 1st tour. First tours after a big bust up with your old band, are suppose to be all about your solo new stuff, you don't want to bring up the "past" EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE YOURE SONGS. You dig out the "golden oldies" come your sophomore solo tour. Whateve's And like someone else mentioned, since he's playing Oasis tunes, fuck at least play other tracks, carry us all, heart of a star, Whatever, Boneheadsfuckin bank holiday, hey it would work if he did it spoken word like, just saying'

I don't wanna hear Noel doing Teenage Cancer Trust-style Oasis tunes. I wanna hear the Manchester 2005 version of Don't Look Back In Anger. Yes please! I've only seen Oasis once, back in 2008, and I'd love to hear DLBIA as it should be. I can't believe this thread is still going. If you don't want to hear the old tunes, go to the bathroom or just ignore it. It'd be nice to hear him play some rarer Oasis tunes, but I could give a fuck in the end. If he came on stage and played Don't Look back In Anger fifteen times and left, I'd say that was well worth the money.
