it's gettin better after the second listen. but i have a feeling, that the last 30 seconds are just a long outro I'm feeling the same thing. That outro would have to be brilliant for me to put my rating up to an 8/10/. |

Why the hell would they cut out a guitar solo? If anything it was probably just doing us a favour and losing a few woohoo's.
It should have gone all Fuckin' In The Bushes on us, it would have been mega.

It will be interesting to hear the full version. As it is, I'm not overly impressed. I like it better than The Good Rebel, but not the others.

Piercing guitars link the verse and chorus sections, and right when you least expect it, an honest-to-goodness six-string solo breaks out - and it's a spine-tingler, too. An elongated verse ends the song on an ominous note, but it's one that leaves the listener breathlessly waiting for more.

if something is to be cut it would be the guitar solo, its a commercial song, and putting a 30 sec guitar solo in will bore the average listener. this song is better without a guitar solo for the charts, sad to say really but prob true

His review clearly states it, and his review was spot on for IIHAG. |

It plods along but I think it plods quite nicely. It's alright, I jumped on the band wagon after the advert clip and now I'm a bit disappointed.
I was tapping my foot aggressively waiting for it to kick off with a big solo but it never did

I'm giving it a 7.5/10. It was a 7/10 originally but its improved a bit (now on my third listen) with a nice guitar solo it could be an 8.5/10 and to be honest if we get a good high quality rip of the song that will improve it so much.

And I don't get what everyone here is on about.
You hear a 1,5 minute clip of a song, and declare that it's the best sine sliced bread.
Now you hear the whole song and dismiss it, because it doesn't go anywhere. What were you expecting?
My opinion of the Clip was: great, but not blown away by it, hope it goes somewhere.
Now, it clearly doesn't, so that's a bit disappointing, but it's still a good song from the chief. And tbh it's kinda like I imagined it would be, but not as I hoped it would be.
But I understand the disappointment, the track has much more potential...
