What a life and Falling down have a similar kinda feel. Maybe they're supposed to be understated drones or something. It's not my thing.

The problem with the song is not that it sounds pretty familiar. I don´t like it is pretty flat, it doesn´t change and it doesn´t goes anywhere. Noel had the chance to make something big, really big with this song. No middle 8, guitar solo, or something less repetitive. I admit he made an effort on the sound, it is fantastic. But the structure of the song is pretty average... sad. This. The song is just begging for a middle 8, or some change. At 2:15 you can hear a guitar riff, which is very cool and adds an extra layer. It makes the song so much better IMO. But then it fades out and the drone continues. edit** Being a fan of Oasis/Noel, this seems like a missed opportunity, because I love the direction and sound, but too damn repetitive.

There is something remarkable about the song: Noel´singing. When I was listening to the adverstisment edit, I felt there was some good atmosphere in the song and part of it is thanks to Noel delivery. His falsettos and the "what a life" chorus is marvelous. Sadly, you get the same the next 3 mins.

When I saw the AD with the song, I was blown away. I couldn't wait to hear the rest. But then when the rest came, so did my disappointment as I found that the song did not really go anywhere. It just sort of hung around, it didn't build or decay. I think I envisioned it getting really heavy with way more guitars and a big solo somewhere.
All that being said, I still like the track, but it's my least favorite off the album thus far.

It was great with all the stadium sound at the end... Epic ! The real song... I was expected for a bridge... No.... A guitar solo ? ... No... A change in his voice.... No....

Actually, the AD should be the video. The nationalistic atmosphere matches the song i don´t know why, i really liked it. I guess Noel would be a perfect show in the opening for the olimpic games next year. Imagine the same idea of the ad video applied to the OG 2012!!! Noel is somebody to be proud of...

The Oasistard fan probably won't like this track because it doesn't sound like any DM/WTSMG/BHN song, but I think it's excellent. Noel stepped out of his comfort zone slightly (I know he's done stuff like Teotuhican, Keep What Ya Got, Falling Down and such) and produced something very quality. It's also a display of what kind of vocalist he's become.
I'm extremely interested in seeing how this will work out live.
Makes me excited that the HFB album is going to have some variety. I was afraid it would be all power ballads, but the 3 released songs have already soothed those worries.
Damnit, November can't get here quickly enough.

This sounds like a kylie minogue or scissor sister effort. it would suit them to a tee. I think what were seeing is the absolute fact that Noel & Liam are much better with each other. Liams voice would definatly make most of the songs so far sound better than they do at present. and liam and co's best songs would defo sound better with a bit of Noels magic. Is'nt it a pity.........as a genius once wrote. G.H / R.I.P

It's not like they were going to produce anymore classics. Liam's vocals have been subpar for 10+ years now, and Noel wanted to be more experimental and not have to write the type of stompers that Liam loves. Now we have Beady Eye catering to what Liam and Liam's fans like, and Noel doing his thing. We get a higher volume of music with more focused missions and ideas on both sides. I love it, even if I didn't love Beady Eye's album.
