All this back and forth about WAL being good, or average or shit reminds me of that scene in The Beatles Anthology documentary when the 'Strawberry Fields Forever' video got premiered on American Bandstand. Dick Clark is interviewing the crowd right after and they all rip on the song saying it's disappointing and not what they were expecting, blah blah blah blah. Look how that turned out in the long run.  |

lol are you comparing strawberry fields forever to what a life? My point is not so much about the song 'Strawberry Fields Forever', just crazy fan reaction after a much hyped track comes out. It is always best for time to pass before really judging a song. |

He was hardly comparing the 2 or saying they're alike. Using that as an example is not the same as saying "this song is as good as Strawberry Fields". It's another way of saying "fans may not like it because it's different, but over time that may change".
lgfaver, the reason people give you a hard time is because you start out being cool and saying "i feel this way about this song and its just my opinion" but that quickly takes a turn for the worst and you start lol'ing and lmao'ing and fanboy'ing at everyone with the opposite opinion.

Thanks you Rifles, that is exactly my point. Ever since WAL promo clip came out last Thursday fan expectations for that track went through the roof. Now many are disappointed. I think over time more people will like it than dislike it. That is just my opinion. |

what a life is not that different. We've all heard Falling Down which is in the same vein except much better. I'll give you that the build up was big, and maybe my opinion will change, but for now it's still a lazy effort for a second single

Just listened to it for the first time. No catchy melody. No great guitar solo - just a lot of funk-style strumming. Decent beat though. I can work out with this tune. I didn't hear any great hooks that make me want to listen to it over and over again. Maybe that's not such a bad thing. It'll save us from 50 dudes with guitars throwing up their cover version on youtube like they did with IIHAG.

As for my brother's dob, yes, he was born August 1st, had never thought it was weird or funny because we rarely refer to it as 8/1 or to mine as 1/8. Matter fact my sister was born January 21st. OMG that is so odd it must mean she also has an account on here that i am somehow controlling. lol hilarious stuff really.
Go back and check how many people agree with me that this song basically sucks, especially when compared to IIHAG, nevermind Noel's finest work like Live Forever. Yes, when people agree with you, they raise your karma, comprende? there you go, you learned something new today.

Well each to own, it's had great reviews everywhere else other than a small gang on here who still have the DM poster up in there lounge. Feel sorry for those not getting this song, because you just won't ever be happy with Noel's songs.
Anyway, had another listen, gets better everytime, without doubt best Noel song so far, can't wait for nxt, really like new direction and how different each of these songs sound.
Lgfavet, cool down and stop making out majority agrees with you, check out other forums and the ratings this song got on the poll, it's just because negative people post same thing over and over on same thread which makes it look like more ppl disliked, you don't like it fine, why not just post that and then head over to the Oasis forum and talk MG where you will be happier and leave rest of us who are open minded to new songs to enjoy great era of being a Noel fan.

Just because I notice it and point out the fact that you've created accounts to boost your karma, doesn't mean I care [insert lol here]. You've already admitted to doing so and even said you recruited friends of yours to help you. Why even pretend like people who agree with you on What a Life are the ones who boosted your karma 9 points (there's that magical number again). It's such a coincidence that it always goes up 9 points at a time. No, lgfaver, I don't care about karma. I just like to remind people who happen upon this post and my other, how pathetic you are, and just how low you'll go to improve your internet image.
