I was not expecting that. Surely we'll hear it before then though, the digital release is a bit crap though.

There are like 3 threads on this. But I'll comment on yours first songbirdsally, you have seniority. Lol
I'm quite surprised first by the quick release of a second single for the Uk. I was expecting us to get airplay for the second single by mid September with a release date of late September. To coincide closer with the album being released.
Secondly, I'm highly surprises that it's only a digital release. I thought that Noel's people learned from Beady Eye's mistakes. Your fanbase buy physical singles, and will gladly buy it in multiple formats, why are you only releasing it in a digital format? Makes no sense to me.

Seems a bit strange that there has been no promotion for this 10 days prior to release (Albeit that it's a digital single). There's been no indication, hint, hype... nothing! Just totally out the blue!
Wonder if it'll be played on the radio within the coming days...

Death of You and Me video hinted that this would be the next UK single.
Can't wait...maybe we'll get a glimpse into what the hell all this AKA stuff is about.

Maybe it's being announced in a physical format, but not yet. Maybe just digitally released first.

The DOYAM video had him writing the lyrics to this song in the restaurant and at the end it says "to be continued", so it kind of hinted at it.

Mods should probably combine these three threads. Not that I'm telling Eva how to to her job, because I don't want to receive a threat from her.

Maybe it's being announced in a physical format, but not yet. Maybe just digitally released first. If they're doing a staggered release dates like Beady Eye, then they're idiots. They need to release multiple formats within the same week. Or it will be The Roller 2.0 in terms of chart placement.

Who is going to buy that? I've never bought anything digigtal in my life!

I was hopeful that Noel had learned from Beady Eye after seeing the flawless release of TDOYAM. Guess I was wrong.

Does anyone else kind of wish he picked EOTR or RM, so we have some fresh tunes that we've never heard versions of when the album is released?
As it stands we'll only have four completely new ones.
Dream on, Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks, AKA... Broken Arrow, (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach.
I do think EOTR will be the most outstanding song on the album though.

I'd wished he realeased the album already ;D All this tunes one by one, I hate it. There's almost no surprises left for the album.. And I agree about EOTR. If that's not 11/10 I'm going to be dissapointed.
