I think that that's kind of the curse of being an active/rabid fan. No one ordered any of us to hear the demos and the soundchecks. We heard/took those on our own. RM was released by a fan, IIHAG was a fan recording, EOTR was a fan recording. STC was the only one that Noel purposely played live for the expressed purpose of everyone to hear. So the fact that the album has songs that we already know is kind of a punishment to ourselves. Because most casual fans have never heard these songs, or have only heard them once or twice. While some of us have heard each song at least a hundred times. So I don't fault Noel for not having many songs that I haven't heard, I fault myself. Guess I'm/we're just too good of a fan(s).

Wow I'm really surprised they're releasing another single so soon. I didn't think we would hear any new music until October after IIHAG.
And it does kind of suck that we have heard most of the remaining songs already, but I think they will still feel very fresh, with the exception of STC and RM pehaps. For example, you could have never made out exactly what IIHAG sounds like just based off that soundtrack clip.

Can't understand why we haven't heard anyting about physical releases of IIHAG and now What A Life!
I've got no interest in forking over my money for a digital copy when I can easely get it in slightly worse quality on youtube, and then just wait for the albulm release... Give me some vinyl goddamnit!!

I'm starting to fear the record will have a short commercial life. Usually there are 3-4 singles for each album these days, so with 3 singles out before the record release there will be only one single left to promote HFB once the album is out.

I'm actually kind of happy they're releasing singles quickly, it makes up for the fact they didn't really do pre orders for TDOYAM when the YouTube video came out, they can at least push up promotion quickly.
TDOYAM did sell well and charted high but I don't know, Noel's management may have thought it wasn't a great idea selling in multiple formats. That or they may just think they'll achieve the same numbers digital only. I can see that working in the US perhaps but definitely not in the UK. this will suffer as a result.
I'm kinda stoked to hear this though. The last two releases have been hyped but this, strangely, has been a song people haven't been talking about yet has been marked as an interesting one.
Remember IIHAG is a US release. So far, HFB only has 2 singles released and I can see two more after the album comes out. MG did a similar strategy, they released Some Might Say and Roll With It before the album came out, and also put out Morning Glory and Champagne Supernova out in the US or elsewhere.

Only TDOYAM was promoted properly tbf. They didn't even announce the first airplay for IIHAG officially. And up until now there's still no information on the website about a release of IAIHAG. And now this, only digital. Can't believe it. They must know from Oasis days that Oasis fans like to buy there stuff physical?! What's wrong with that management of them? I swear, if this will only be digital, and if there will be no fucking B-side on it, i'm going to go nuts.

I'd be very surprised if Noel went two straight singles without any type of b-side. I'm expecting a b-side on one of the two.

Remember that talk about the next video including a wedding scene and something under water?
Some people were thinking it was the video for IIHAG. I'm wondering now if it's this one. Maybe a guy drowning who is reflecting on his life and recalling his marriage? LOL, pretty depressing image, but...

I'm not buying it unless it's a vinyl. Having it on your pc is like not having it... And what's with that UK single nonsense. It's not realeased all over Europe? I know a record store near me had TBGO and TDOYAM vinyl singles in stock when I was there this week.

I will say this, to combat the "shortage" of new material, I will definitely be getting the bonus track.

Could be what Deasy said in the other fread, on air / on sale the same day, alot of record companies are doing that these days to avoid the illegal downloads etc, i remember Jessie J did it for one of her songs and went straight to no.1 not saying Noel will

Mods should probably combine these three threads. Not that I'm telling Eva how to to her job, because I don't want to receive a threat from her. pfft I do not threat people, I'm harmless!

I have to say, I'm really not buying this business about the album being ruined simply because we've heard most of the songs. Certainly, that may mean that the first listen isn't as exciting in that its not an album of fresh material, but in 6 months or a years time, when you come back to the record, will it really matter when you first heard the song? A lot of people mention how hearing the DOYS songs before the release through 30 sec clips or the leak kind of ruined it for them, and I used to agree. But I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that its just because after Noel's songs were finished, the album really wasn't that great (hope I didn't just ruin someone's day). My point is if the album is good, it will be good. It shouldn't matter when or in what form we hear it. When I return to MG or DM or BHN, it doesn't matter how many times I've heard the music before, as long as I give the music enough time between listens, because the songs are great. Keep in mind DM was well known in nearly its entirety through concerts before its release. Not saying this will be as good as those albums, but a man can dream!
