Dunno, it has female backing vocals, but it's not very obvious so...

I'd just gagged to be honest. come one, the acoustics in ones shower, mine at least, are superb. they'll recreate Noels crooning to a T. For some reason I'm inclined to think that Jilliam is hot. Don't ask me why. I think she's a hot pot smoker.

I am going to go with an 8 or 8.5. It is just a little too early for me to elevate this into the 9 or 10 territory. Songs in that class include Live Forever, Slide Away, Wonderwall, and Don't Look Back In Anger to name just a few. It'll take time to see where this song truly stands in the Noel Gallagher rankings. I'm not sure if I favor IIHAG or TDOYAM. Pretty evenly matched for me. Both fantastic.

I picked 10/10... but I would say 9.5/10, all because of the production. Could've been a hair bit better in my opinion, but that doesn't take away the fact that this song makes my ears have an orgasm. Just sayin...

I gave it a 10 but that doesn't mean I think it's as good as Wonderwall, Live Forever, DLBIA etc. But I think it has the potential to be. Obviously it will never mean as much to people as those songs did, but from a solely musical standpoint, it could be as good I think. It's like when an album gets a 5 star review, doesn't mean it's the next Revolver, just means it's an incredible work which maybe grow to become a classic as time goes on.

Agreed with everything you said here, and your last sentence makes a lot of sense - need to remember that for future arguments.

Not buying that it is too 'emotional' for Liam to sing. Slide Away. Wonderwall. Don't Go Away.
Whether he'd have sang it on an eighth oasis album is debatable given Noel tended to sing three of his own songs on the last few albums. Had Noel written this for one of the first three Oasis albums though, Liam would have sang it without any shadow of a doubt.

A solid 10.
I have been either listening or humming to the tune all day. This is not a usual thing for me to do, and in fact I almost never get actually thrilled with a new song. And this song has captivated my mind completely. Has been the same after the second listen. The lyrics are beautiful and they come as very special to me. I think these are the best from Noel in terms of honesty and the beauty, the amazing beauty it carries within.
Time would eventually refresh my soul, and I have no idea how it will do it. But right now no tune on Earth, may it be LF, CS, or DLBIA, can beat this. And there's a high possibility it might stay that way. This is a completely new experience for me and I consider it a strong evidence.

I loved TDOYAM because it was really good, and also quite special. This is less special, but thát brilliant, it's mindblowing actually. It gets better on each listen. The guitars, the drums.. It was the song Í thought Noel was never going to make anymore. I especially love the drums at some parts, and the guitar of course, they make the song more epic/heavy. Also the female backing vocals are a very nice touch! I'm not going to give it a 10, because I hope (I think, I know ) that there may be even better songs on this album, so I'll reserve my ten for those songs. Now a solid 9.

7.5/10 it's obviously better than TDOYAM, which wasn't even as good as it's B-side imo.
Can't give it an 8/10 because it sounds too much like OneRepublic and eventhough i think the song is very and i really like it(hence the high rating), it's not as good as some Oasis tracks that i rate as solid 8's.

Was 10/10 on the first listen, but dropped to 9/10 after the hype worn out.
Needs proper drumming and production to be a true 10.

8.5/10 for me, think I would have liked it more if I hadn't heard the soundcheck so many times. But I still love it and it's definitely on the top shelf of Noel songs. I have to agree with a previous comment though that the lyrics are a bit cheesy imo.

Looks can only get you so far, which eventually they'll fade, personality and character last a life time! Hey thats what Ian Brown said he loved about me.
