OMG, number ratings are so passe. How about I rate it a "R", which comes after "P" and before "S". Why "R" you might ask. Because it's restless....and rollicking and...ramming, and it's like rice-in-a-bowl delicacy, you just eat it up, maybe with a few condiments if there's no meat or fish.

I said it in another thread too, the BBC6 Liam interview one where Liam says he sang on half the tunes. I wonder which ones he sang on. I can definitely hear him singing this one Now THOSE demos I'd really want to leak! I can't remember what thread I said it on, but I'll say it here again: No way would Liam ever be given this song to sing, even if his voice was still as good as the 1995 era. This song is was too personal and emotional - only Noel can do it proper justice. I would not want to hear Liam on a song like this. It's like Talk Tonight and The Masterplan - the tenderness of Noel's voice suits the song much better. The emotional impact and meaning would be lost if given Liam's rough and raw edge, I feel. You confuse me sometimes NL4E...I bet if Wonderwall was originally a Noel-sung song, you would've thought there was no way Liam could sing that either...because of the song's "emotional impact".

Sure, but that's not what we're asking. So it's a 10 then?

First off Wonderwall was a Noel song. Second off, Noel didn't want Liam to sing it, but Liam convinced him and a deal was made that Noel would get DLBIA to sing. But can you really imagine Liam singing The Masterplan? Don't Look Back in Anger? I can't. And I can't imagine him singing IIHAG.

a tentative 8! This should have been his lead single. I liking this one MUCH more. quite tasty. Noels vocals are perfffff...wonderful. This is going to be a great "sing-it-in-the-shower track. I'd just gagged to be honest.

If that's an "Easy 9," what's a Hard 9 then?? 9 hard inches of... you know! Then in practice, wouldn't a soft 9 be better? assuming it's got a few inches to go.

9,5 at least... fuck it! It's 10! To be frank, fucking a 9.5 doesn't necessarily lead to a 10. (Some 9.5's have emotional baggage, and they tend to bring that into...ya'know, bed)

10. I know it's a 'heat of the moment' type thing but I genuinely think this is the best song I've heard in the last few years. LOVE IT.

At the moment it's a 9, but things do tend to change over time. Don't know where this one will go, up or down? But I find it hard to get past the phenomenal lyrics, so tender. Beautiful!

9/10 for me.
It makes TDOYAM sound like a Beady Eye song.

9/10 for me. It makes TDOYAM sound like a Beady Eye song. Considering we don't know how you rate a Beady Eye song, even though you made it known that your area of residence is that of a "This Three Ring Circus" (still, a bit vague and ambig and a bit general), how would you rate "a Beady Eye song" from a scale of 1 to 10?

All I'm really trying to say is that this song is miles better than TDOYAM, and I think TDOYAM is better than anything Beady Eye has done. That's not to say I don't like what Beady Eye has done, I do, but what Noel has put out so far has surpassed anything they've done so far to me.

Fuck what I said earlier. It was meant to be some social interactive thing, but now that I've learned you're not a female....Forget it.

Is "If I Had A Gun" the song on NGHFB with the female backing vocals?
