To be fair, no one gives a fuck about the artwork, let alone the single artwork. Artwork is always pretty to look it but, RARELY does it ever change/influence my opinion of ANY song/lp.

I can't have a judgement on an bad quality recording... I had the same problem with "The Good Rebel"... Now I love this song on my cd player. From what I heard... this song was for Liam with a little help from his brother on the high notes... Great song... good melody... but it seems the production is so much strong on this one... Guess this track is gonna be epic playing inan accoustic shape. Comparing to the soundcheck, it loose all the intimity...
But can't wait to heard this on a cd or vinyl support... youtube or soundcloud... the sound (also the production sounds so very bad on this...)
For me today was just a preview about a real very good song.

Artwork usually becomes better if the album is good. It's like Noel said with the band names: Oasis and The Beatles aren't great band names but people associate them with great music. If Sgt Pepper completely sucked, then the album cover would've been considered weird and pointless. Instead it's iconic because of the music it represents.

Pretty incoherent reply but I'll do my best... I'm 100% sincere, it was quite a simple point which I know a lot of people would agree with. Artwork is important, and that's easy to forget in these days of disposable downloadable music, not a complicated point to understand. "Come off it. No one gives a fuck if the music's shit." What are you talking about here? I second your point that the artwork matters, but I agree with youandmegirl's remark that it only matters if the music's good. Just like lyrics. Sure yeah, if the music's poor I'm not saying the artwork can save it or anything. If you think something is shit then it's shit, and no fancy artwork will change that. Obviously the tunes are the most important thing. But I like to think or a good single/album as a complete package you can hold in your hand, music, artwork, sleevenotes etc

I don't want to overplay it before the entire album comes out, but I can't stop listening to it. Therein lies the problem.
Utterly brilliant.

This song is really for Liam. During the "ahahahahaha" It really doesn't. It's got Noel written all over it. If it was an Oasis track it would be one of Noels 3 songs he sings on the album.

Really not sure about this... Listen it again and imagine Liam on it with a little help on high notes by noel. Totally for him.

I personally like TDOYAM a bit more, but it's still a good song. The one bit after the first verse, the "ahhh" part reminds me of Bonehead's bank holiday's "la la la."

imagine Liam on it with a little help on high notes by noel. If Liam needs help by Noel to reach high notes on a song then it isn't a Liam song. (Also, how does Noel help Liam on high notes in a song anyway?)

This is a Noel tune by all definitions. Again, the roughness of Liams voice would make the song lose that emotional and personal element. Sure, Liam did well on the likes of Slide Away and Don't Go Away, but I could never imagine him singing something like this, nor could I envision Noel handing it to Liam to sing. Again, would you really want Liam to sing DLBIA? Talk Tonight? HTWA? Some songs are made just for Noel, just as some songs (C&A, Supersonic, Live Forever, etc) are made for Liam.....

Despite how many times I've played it, I still expect it to go to 'forgive me if I spoke too soon' after the verse and not the ahhh ahhh bit.

EBOTR is for Noel, but this one during a soundcheck in 2009, I could imagine Liam singing on this one and I'm sure he know this one, like slide away with the help of noel it could be THE TUNE ! The soundcheck version was for Noel (intimist, shiny etc...) but imagine Liam on this track, the real track, and you've got the new Slide Away. "And waiting for the moment to find meeeeee..." singing toghether.... This tune in Oasis time.... I couldn't imagine... Amazing. Tell me you dont have a thought on Liam during the "and aaahhhhhhhhh"

Am I the only one who gets really fucking annoyed with all the 'imagine Liam' on this tune bullshit? He's not on it because Noel is solo now. Get over it and enjoy what you have for-fucks-sake! Anyone who thinks that Liam would add 'a ton' to this track have missed the train. Noel finished off this song with the intent of him singing it and it works for him. Emotive, soothing, yearning, endearing. Please, get off of Liam's cock and give Noel some credit as a great vocalist. Quite frankly, Noel has been better than Liam for the better part of a decade. Well done, Noel. Keep it coming. Can't wait for the next track I hear off this album. Cheers! Blame Nostalgia!

If Liam "can" sing during a live I'm Outta Time, he can sing on this one.

Although I'm not thrilled about some aspects of the production, overall it is still a brilliant song. The melody is fantastic and there are some genius lyrics (i.e. 'waiting for the moment; for my heart to be unbroken.')
Unlike some others, I think that this tune will age quite well and stand up against some of Noel's best. I also believe that there will be at least 2 or 3 better songs than this and TDOYAM on the album. It is shaping up to be an unbelievably strong album.

I think Liam butchered IOT live Don't beat around the bush, just say it. Liam DID butcher IOT live, almost without exception. He butchered virtually everything on that tour. The DOYS tour was by far the most underwhelming of any Oasis tour. That album era had 4 of my all time favourite Oasis songs yet NONE of them were ever played live due to Liam's inability to sing them. Bag It Up The Turning Boy With The Blues Soldier On All four of those songs should've been played live on that tour but weren't because Liam had no esophagus.

i think liam yelled the rockers pretty well on the DOYS tour (see supersonic and cigs and alcohol)
everything else was pretty much terrible.

Probably 70% tracks from this album were made for Oasis next album...
And yes, I want Liam singing on this song...
