also the b-side is #36 in the mids.. these sales will be added to the a-side #8 latter on in the week. So noel is technically higher than#8 if combined This isn't true at all. You can't add B-Side sales onto the A-Side sales. It's only purchases that include TDOYAM that count to the sales of TDOYAM. Downloading The Good Rebel on it's own doesn't count as a purchase of the single, at all.

You're right, this happens all the time...but not in the way you think it does.

Official Chart Update is out today - 4pm BST on BBC Radio 1. Would love if all the singles carry on the top ten Oasis trend (excluding Supersonic, Shakermaker and I'm Outta Time).l

There's no way he stays in the top 10. A ton of those sales are based on pre-orders that have already been accounted for.... Still, he should be in the top 15, which is very good for a rock act nowadays.

I like the way people knew hours ago that it was at #9 and it was even posted in this thread, yet people still wanted to see where it was on the midweek update on BBCR1....

The only rock song in the top 40, so number nine is amazing. Take a bow son.

Because you never know if those sources are right or wrong. Maybe they are good forums and all, but it's better to hear from a trusted official source, not some guy who buys it off the street every week. I mean, these are the same forums who go and buy leaks off some other people for $300+ to boost traffic.

Music Week is given the midweeks directly from the OCC, meaning if they are wrong then the BBCR1 midweek chart would also be wrong too since its the same source. I'm not too sure what the "some guy who buys it off the street" means though... Or the leaks thing.

TDOYAM took the slide that I was expecting. Last time I checked it was a #28 on Itunes. Which points much more to about 12 or 13 as a placing in the end of the week charts.

would it be a fair assumption that TDOYAM has undoubtedly sold more physical copies than anything else? must have surely... do hope that it does well, deserves a high position brilliant tune Bring on single #2 Noel

Which is why is dumb for Beady Eye not to have a physical release with the digital release. Noel and Liam are old school artists, with old school fans. They need physical copies. Without them they would chart at say #31. But with them, they can still regulalrly make it to the Top 10 or close to it.
