The day I start giving songs or albums scores out of 10 or whatever, is the day I'll probably chuck myself off the Tay Bridge.
Lets face it, this is a really crap song.

It's great that some of you like the song, but I think throwing heaps of praise at it (like NL4E is doing) is pretty unwarranted. Does anyone actually think Noel spent more than 10 minutes writing this song? We all know the strokes of genius this man is capable of...I'm pretty sure he just threw this together one day and went "Yeah, that'll do." also keep in mind, NL4E is by all accounts a crackhead. i feel sorry for the bastard if he ever takes real drugs. aloha!

Its not that bad 7/10
I still get a huge thrill hearing a new song for the first time. I was gutted when Oasis split up but in a way its good as we're getting a lot more music !
Really like Beady Eye, so far i've enjoyed Noel's two songs i've heard.

Average, as others have posted its a slowed down version of Rain, the drums are very similar. No-one would give this more than a 6/10 if it was a BDI tune

7. Decent tune-like the harmonies. Nothing earthshaking. The Good Rebel= Mr Tambourine Man + Rain + pre-chorus of Somebody's Baby by Jackson Browne(!!!). Totally agree!

Decent song, very Revolver era Beatles which we know Noel loves. I'm kinda glad it's not better than the A-Side. That was cool back in the day but it'll be good if for once Noel chooses the best songs possible for an album rather than making some sketchy choices for no good reason.

Ok, after a couple more listens.
Yeah... it's awesome.
It sounds like proper Oasis, i.e. Oasis pre-SOTSOG.
*racks out a line in celebration*.

Noel wouldve taken 60 seconds to write this song. But the fact that it's still catchy and a strong tune is a testament to his genius.

Actually quite like it, 7.5.
Really has a Tom Petty meets Noel 90's vibe to me for some reason. Makes you think that if it was bent off the LP we've prolly got a good number of great ones to come, but you can never tell with Noel.
Solid backing vocals in parts too.
I think the beatles rain parallels are a bit much, but nothing new there...let's ransack the beatles 250 song catalog and see what we can find.

It sounds as though a vast majority on here are neglecting the past as they view the present. This does have a BHN vibe, and had it been released then we'd hail it as a quality b-side. Those of us who say its shite, or poor quality, are searching for Noel to be a more mature songwriter now. Well, I hate to rain on your parade, but Noel is never going to change. He prefers to bang a few simple chords, drop a lovely melody over it, and repeat himself until he's tired of it.
The only thing that has changed is that he got tired after 4 minutes instead of 7 now. I don't think it is the best song I've ever heard, but then again, why would it be? It's a b-side that has been sitting around in Noel catalogue for half a decade. I enjoy it, like, probably really love to some degree.
7/10
Personally, I'm just glad that he showed us he will be able to rock pretty well, because an album full of slowies would be a drag. Cheers Noel!

I really like it. It's quite moving. Moving? There is nothing to it for me. I wish he'd stop banging on about the rain, find a new metaphor Noel. The first line was rain which annoyed me then he kept singing rain and then inevitably sunshine was soon mentioned. It's a lazy effort, poor by Noel's standards but probably good for everybody else.

I couldn't place Browne's 'Somebody's Baby' but that's totally what I was thinking. Jackson Browne wrote some amazing tunes - Noel could steal from much worse (not that he consciously lifted from that song)

agree with JitKenson's post quoted above and this Lazy (Noels favourite chords)...but triumphant. Simple but powerful. A little repetitive but not enough to bother me. it's got that great oasis sound that always made me feel so good in the 90s...to me it's a thumbs up...but then it's got those ticket-to-ride drums that are one of the things I love the most in a song, so I may be a little biased This is a b-side, so it's all looking promising...7.5

Listened to it last night and didn't think a great deal of it but as often happens with new Noel tunes with me, I listened again tonight and it's a completely different song. The verses are beautiful and I agree with those saying it has a 90's vibe to it, definitely. I would agree that the chorus is a little repetitive but for me a lot of the time the genius of Noel is the simplicity of his songwriting, he gets a melody and doesn't fart about too much with it.
A strong 7/10, possibly a 7.5/10, would be a nice set opener!

7/10
An attempt at recreating Rain, but a damn good one at that. As pointed by another thread, needs a proper chorus and a guitar solo. Digging the production and the sound, though.

it's very good, 7/10 after digesting it for 24 hours.... better than the A-side imo, not as boring and "folksy" sounding.

7/10 from me. I like it more than The Death Of You And Me, to be honest.
Love the way he sings "If heaven helps you help yourself, I hope you never change".
