Sounds like it could be a Be Here Now era b-side that is for sure. I'm not sure why but it reminds me of an older version of The Fame. Not sure why I think that though. I thought it had a Be Here Now B-side vibe too. Could reveal itself with more listens. Solid, but not convinced, 6 from me.

If ye think thats better than anything Beady Eye have, you are a deluded twat. If you think its shit then you obviously did not experience the BHN era while it was happening!! Loads of energy. Very happy! now now... the song isn't better than BDI's best tunes but it is a good song nonetheless. (imo)much better than TDOYAM. Obviously it all comes down to personal preference.

I gave it a 5. It could move up to a 6 in time. I can't get over the repetitiveness of the chorus.
Meh.

I say a 6.5. But it's a new Noel song nonetheless and a new Noel song is still better than 98 percent of what's out right now anyway.

Besides, I don't wanna be one of these silly vaginas who comes out and says something moronic... Like "The Beat Goes On is better than The Masterplan", or some other such nonsense.

Good tune. Don't know why everyone has to bring Beady Eye into every thread about a Noel tune, and vice versa. When Dig Out Your Soul came out, were people round here saying "I think Waiting for the Rapture is okay but one thing's for sure it's better than any of the shite the other three wrote"??
There are probably seven or eight Beady Eye songs I liked better than this on first listen. But it's a very good b-side. As I said in another thread, I'll wait until I've heard the album before I decide if it was right to be a b-side.

It's alright, I'd give it a 6/10. I don't get people saying it's good for a b-side, Noel has produced so many brilliant b-sides that he obviously cares about the quality of them. So I had high expectations for his first solo b-side and I'm a bit disappointed to be honest.

I quite like it, if only for the 90s nostalgia it induced.
Glad it's not on the album though, because I want that to sound at least a little different from Oasis.

its a 6 for now but could be a 6.5 in time. It's got a BHN vibe and its an insanely improved version of PAITM (which is my least favorite Noel song ever). It's got a nice verse melody. Glad its a b-side though Noel does sound great though. The production from Sardy is the best its ever been on these two Noel tracks.

its okay but nothing special, rather disappointing. Ill probably never listen to it again after a few days. I am still am confident the album will be great. It has a very Be Here Now bside vibe to it, maybe gems guitar playing not being on it, helped it to sound this way.

Love the start with the harmonies (and harmonies are ace throughout) Production is cool but makes it sound a bit 90s College Rock (Gigolo Aunts, Gin Blossoms etc.) Far too long and too repetitive. "Let my baby's love come down like rain" sounds like the pre-chorus from 'Merry Xmas Everybody'. Lyrics are terrible even by Noel's standards. Nice that it sounds much more different than Oasis compared to TDOYAM. Gave it a 6 initially but dropped to 5 after a few listens. Solid but can't imagine wanting to listen to it much. Production and harmonies make me think the album could be ace if applied to better songs mind.

Your typical Noel Gallagher penned B-Side. Could have seen this on any future Oasis releases had they still been together.

For a guy who didn't want to "ever give away a song for free on the internet" sure has done a fine job with his management company of doing EXACTLY that with the TDOYAM single. I am assuming they don't realize how easy it is to make mp3s out of these tracks. Thanks you for the music!!!

Also, doesn't sound like Oasis? This sounds like it was taken right out of Noel's 1997 handbook. It's Oasis all over, and for that I like it even more. Lastly, for those voting below a 6/10, God only knows how you rate the likes of TSHB, or PYWMYMI, or ICSAL.....those last 2 especially must be in the negatives for you lot then (as bad as they both clearly are). Context and consistency, please. [That being said, maybe my 9/10 was inflated somewhat, but I wouldn't go lower than 8 here] <6/10? I'm not having that.

I hate the posts that state "If Liam sung this, you would praise it", etc as I don't think many on here have those inherit biases....but one has to wonder here: If this was on an Oasis album (HC, DOYS, the 8th album, whatever) would it really be getting this much of a mixed reaction? I'm not too sure.....

Heathen Chemistry has some good tunes on it (THT, FON, SCYHO, LBL, SIL). It just needed a proper producer to pull it all together. Someone not named Noel Gallagher. Shout It Out Loud should have gone on that album!
