Sounds to me like Liam wanted to leave Oasis but didn't have the bollocks to, so deliberately pissed Noel off to the extent that he'd make him quit instead. He succeeded. What a tosser.

I like the conclusion : "Beady Eye is a rock'n'roll band, I'm a songwriter." Exactly. Makes you realise how pointless and meaning-less comparing Beady Eye to him is.

They only reviewed TDOYAM, IIHAG and WAL.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks a lot after all. K+

Noel's playing a Fender in one pic. Rare that he goes to Fender. Maybe because he's left the heavy Oasis sound we'll hear the lighter sound of Fender, rather than a Gibson.

Brilliant interview.
The description of Liam's call and the progression of 'offensive, to weird, to creepy' made me laugh.

I was actually going to start a thread about this. I am intrigued to see how his guitars and his set up will change if at all they change. I can't see the Les Paul being featured in new tracks, maybe the Gibson's in general will make way for Fender's and Rickenbacker's. Obviously a slightly different sound will mean new gear though.

Interesting that IIHAD is suppose to have "touches" of Wonderwall. Which is the comparison that I was expecting. The melody and chord structuring in that song is very much like his MG stuff, imo.

He's holding it like a regular guitar, but I guess that depends on when you take the pic.

Exactly. Makes you realise how pointless and meaning-less comparing Beady Eye to him is. THIS. Noel knows in the back of his mind that they'll be compared, and it doesn't really matter. If you go by Noel's reasoning, then there's no way you can compare The Rolling Stones (rock n' roll band) with the Beatles (songwriters). Music's meant to be compared.

Three Irish brothers, sitting around with their women, drunk as fuck at six in the morning after a wedding. Nothing good is coming out of that. When Noel says he was "slanging off", I wonder what the topic was. Oh, I don't know...something to do with Liam, perhaps?

Another interesting thing...TDOYAM is Noel's favorite song off the album. From MOJO's descriptions, IIHAG and What a Life! weren't anything mindblowing...just an Oasis-lite song and disco, respectively.

That people would get married to it and be buried to it.....

Having a go at each other. Funny how Noel says 'I started slanging off' rather than 'we started slanging off'
