The better Noels album will be, it will be a kick up the arse for BDI. Y'might be right but it could also go the other way and Beady Eye might panic and implode. I hope you're right though.

I'm watching my TV, or is it watching me?
Fucking genius lyric!
I love it. Put it on and stroll down the street to work. Happy, uplifting, great tune for the moment.
All of the TIOBI comparisons boggle the mind. Are we stuck to the fact that every time Noel goes falsetto it is instantly TIOBI? The two songs vary drastically to me. TDOYAM is much more textured, while TIOBI is VERY dry and rightfully so with the subject matter.
This actually has peaked my interest even more in the album, so it does the trick for me. Cheers!

this one will be a grower. it's a bit too tiobi for me and is far from being epically amazing, but still enjoyable nonetheless.

It's deffo 8 of 10. I don't wanna give it more, yet. I love it, it's catchy as hell. Seriously, I've had the melody in my head since I heard it 4 hours ago! Amazing

Why do people get so much excited over the "TV" line? I respect that but it's not THAT creative and I don't see anything amazing about it either.

I don't usually waste too much time telling people people what to like, but I find it beyond humorous that some "oasis" forum members don't care for this song.
It fits right into one of Noel's (3) veins perfectly.
Nearly PRECISELY what I expected and I'm 100% content with it.
Feels a bit short, but that's usually a GOOD sign for a tune.

there's a lot of people on this forum that love it, there's some who think it's just ok and then there's some who simply don't like it. I do like it but mainly because it's Noel G. If it was anyone else i wouldn't give a damn about this song. like i said before, there's nothing really extraordinary about it but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's an ok song, not that disappointed with it. I should point out though that those people expecting or rather anticipating a"classic Noel/Oasis" type tune, seem to love this, i would've thought they'd have been the most disappointed ones. such is the fanboyism i guess.

Instrumentally it's great. The brass section really works. Just don't like it much as a song. The melody's repetitive and surprisingly a little disjointed for a Noel Gallagher song.

I like it, but it didn't blow me away. I feel a bit underwhelmed, actually. Still better than Bring the Light or BDI for that matter, and I still have high hopes for the album. Good song, above average, but not an epic.
The description of HHL and TIOBI were spot on, though.

This, and the instrumental from the other day, are already better than Beady Eye's entire output.
I'm not even exaggerating, it's true.
If you can't see the difference in quality you have spunk in your ears.

The description of HHL and TIOBI were spot on, though. it was never gonna live up to your really high expectations, and that's why you're left dissappointed so much or so emotional, i don't know. it's a great song, not mind-numbingly great but great. it's a good sign for what's to come. good things.

it's just classic Noel fucking Gallagher. His melodies are second to none I mean who even thinks of these melodies? They just soar above the chords. This is what i wanted from Noel. It's a bit odd, its kinda groovin, kinda western, kinda jazzy, and that chorus pop stomp A soaring melody. It's sgt pepper mixed with Magical Mystery Tour but its so Noel. Its similar to TIOBI but its got its own twist. It's better than anything Beady Eye has put out. Agree with everything Cast. I've listened to it 5 times now, and I think it's extremely good. Not to compare to Beady Eye, but I think it would be hard for anyone to listen to this and not think that it would be at least one of the Top 3 songs on DGSS. I also sensed a nice New Orleans Jazz vibe from it, and some Magical Mystery Tour/Sgt. Pepper's on it. Nice showing by Noel. The thing that really gets me going, is that this is definitely not the best song on the album. We have more brilliant tracks coming. This. Spaneli and Cast seem spot on, to me.

The Noel lovers were going to say it was great no matter what he released. And we are seeing that now with stupid over the top reviews. This is a second rate DBTT song. He written better songs for DOYS. I have heard him write better post 2000 b-sides than this.
If Beady Eye had made this then you wouldnt be coming out with these comments. I am looking foward to the rest of Noel's album but this song is a dissapointment and in comparison to Beady Eye i think it is better than maybe 3 or 4 songs on DGSS, at a push.

I was hoping for something like Falling Down, but... Were you expecting something like Falling Down because of the background music from the trailer or is that just what you were hoping for? That background music had a FD/SOTSOG vibe. I wonder if it's The Good Rebel. Either way, I think TDOYAM is not quite classic status, but it's definitely very good. And with that it's time for me to go to bed. Maybe, not because of the background music but more on what Noel said when DOYS came out, and he said Falling Down was the type of song he had been wanting to write for years. But then, this is just one song from a whole album so I guess it would be daft to have all tracks sounding the same. Been listening to TDOYAM all morning now and it's grown even more on me, love it.

I think it's highly evident that BDI and Noel are going in different directions... And I am totally fine with it. Loving this singer/songwriter vibe.
