Do you think his website will be launched the same day and we will get a first listen to his single? I just think this press conference is a bit to much if all he is doing is announcing album details, there has to be something more to it. well www.noelgallagher.com now has a pic in the address bar which wasn't there a few days ago so there gearing up for it |

Just imagine if Noel had authored the final 4 tracks on DOYS...BIU, TT, WFTR, SOTL, IOT, FD, + 4 more? we'd have a veritable modern classic on our hands.
I'm honestly expecting the announcement of an album that we'll be listening to for thirty years.

Well thats probably why its got a better chance than a later day Oasis record that he is free of the shackles of that sound, i know they tried variation but he probably always had to reign it in somewhat Now he has got a fresh clean slate to do what he wants without the "Oasis album" pressure, and like you say has got what i would imagine shit loads of old and new material to play with Just hope he doesnt go too fuckin weird |

I have this feeling he's going to try and do something completely different-sounding to Oasis for his solo record. Probably along the lines of Teotihuacan for the X-Files.

This is fuckin' bollocks. He's doing all this popstar shit because he knows he's got a terrible record and he needs to sugar coat it to make it look half-decent. If the record was any good, he would let the music do the talking...which is what Beady Eye did and that was a top, top record.
