If the record was any good, he would let the music do the talking...which is what Beady Eye did and that was a top, top record. Your extreme trollish stupidity never fails to amaze me. I recall only one of the 2 pronouncing that his album would be the best of the next 50 years... How am I a troll, just because I don't think Noel's album will be very good... I have even stuck up for him and his wife on this forum before, when people were criticising his wife's looks. So shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

I think any album with RM and STC at its core is gonna be a great album. If he can tie a few more songs into that feel then we have another Dark Side Of The Moon on our hands..
He just has to get the flow right, he has not been able to do that on the last three Oasis albums due to using the other members songs that was only half as good as his own due to his laziness;)
This album will signal if Noel has still got the magic. The last album he wrote all by himself was SOTSOG, and that was his Blood On The Tracks so was heavily influenced by his marriage breakdown, as you can tell by the dark moody atmosphere of the album. So really we have to go back to BHN to see his last unaffected attempt on an album, and i totally love BHN, its the most underrated Oasis album.

This is why I fail, this is why I do not post often. Sorry again. One thing though, does it not come across as a little contrived that Knobby Williams suddenly pipes up with a digs at Noel just as news is about to break about Noels album? All this time without a pop and it happens now? He had a pop in 2009 when Oasis split. Something about their only good tune in a decade being TIOBI. What are you implying? Blobby is in on it and trying to boost Noels profile?

I'll still be asleep, but I'm hoping to wake up 45mins later to some big news. Cometh the hour, cometh the chief.

Noel is a perfectionist, he wouldn't release a shitty record just because the media expects him to go solo. I think Noel will put out something good tbh. But thats not to say just because someone is a perfectionist that they will put out a good record. Many perfectionists have failed, people put out bad records, it happens no matter how much care they take over them.

I came across this Interview from 2008 earlier this day, thought I'd share it, mentions the solo record.

That would be awesome. I'd be more thrilled about that than a title.

I just hope we all won't be disappointed because of our high expectations. Actually, I'm convinced it will be great, because Noel will put a lot of effort into it, but we never know...

Cant wait for 2moro. Im seeing Beady Eye 2nite and i still cant stop thinking about the press conference, 100x more into what Noel makes than Liam (as much as i like Beady Eye).
I think this album could be an out and out classic, plus the rumours of two albums makes it much more interesting than the build up we had to all the Oasis albums. Don't think there's been so much up in the air since SOTSOG came out without Guigs/Bonehead.

The primary issue of importance that I am waiting for tomorrow is to find out if STC is on the album. In the end, that's all that really matters. I'm hoping for a version with bongos.

I can't see Noel making a bad album. He could very well only make a decent album which some may consider bad because it's Noel's album, but I don't see him making a truly bad album.
I would be extremely surprised if he didn't make a good album, yet I'd be just as surprised if he made a truly great album. I'm expecting a very good album. Probably something that I could rate as a 8.5/10.

Lomax we've already heard 3 different versions of that song...STC is not the be all and end all of life. You are aware that it's fairly likely he's recently written new songs that are far better than that one, right?

Noel is past his musical writing prime, he's just at that age, it's the same with everyone. i'm sure his album will be really good but i doubt great. p.s. seriously timekeeper, what's your deal with STC? shock treatments are an effective therapy.

Just imagine if Noel had authored the final 4 tracks on DOYS...BIU, TT, WFTR, SOTL, IOT, FD, + 4 more? we'd have a veritable modern classic on our hands. I doubt that, Noel has shown before that he didn't have enough good 'Oasis' songs to make a great album. I see know reason why he would this time. Although I don't doubt he has enough solo songs held back to make a great record. How contradictory can you get? Not enough songs to make a great album but you don't doubt he has enough songs saved for a "great" solo record. Well, duh, that would mean he DID have enough songs and simply chose not to include them. Unless of course those were some of the great songs not fitting for Oasis. Right. Doubt whatever you like. And even if you see "know" reason why he would this time, most others would of course point to plenty of b-sides and unreleased material that should have easily replaced some of the pish BDI inundated DOYS, HC, and DBTT with (although there were some good contributions in there too). If anything he has (per usual) made a few bad picks for some LPs, not been short on material. What's a great LP by the way, lmao? Def Maybe? WTSMG? DBTT? DOYS? All four had overwhelmingly favorable to great/classic reviews, and even the "lessers" of SOTSOG, BHN, and HC were generally 3-3 1/2 star affairs with most of Noel's contributions being #1 singles or amazing songs straightaway.

In all honesty, I believe that this album will shock us all. It will be that weird
I mean, what would be the point of wanting to go solo if you would keep making the same music you did in your band?

I mean, what would be the point of wanting to go solo if you would keep making the same music you did in your band? Because your brother was being that much of a tool that you wanted to leave? If Noel's prepared exit statement is to be believed, that was the case.
