I think the last time Kasabian hit the United States was in the fall of 2006. I remember seeing them on Letterman and later that same week in Philadelphia and haven't returned since. A real shame. They put on a great show. I think it's because, no offence to Americans, but most of america have a shit taste in music and they only want to hear pop music... the UK is probably like 60% po, 40% everything else... So they can pull off tours easy in the UK as they have a large following here... But there's not so much of a following over there... I can't see them not playing a few smaller shows in America this tour though They hit the top 200, albeit in the 100s range, with West Ryder. There are bands that can play 700 capacity clubs in America that haven't even hit that. They can't play arenas, but it'd sure be nice to at least acknowledge that they have some fans on this side of the Atlantic.

She said they played Switchblade Smiles, Veloriraptor!, Days Are Forgotten and Re-Wired off the new album... Nothing from Kasabian... Just Shoot The Runner from Empire... and Vlad, Fast Fuse and Fire from WRPLA. Oh how I wish I was on that plane!!!!

Let's just roll---- acoustic catchy tune
goodbye kiss, it's got the vibe of thick as thieves
la fee verte ----- amazing
velociraptor ----- brilliant
acid turkish bath ----- I think it'll be the new take aim
I hear voices ---- really kasabian soundish
re- wired ---- sounds promising
man of simple pleasures ---- acoustic again
neon noon ---- mmm seems not so good

Telling you, you all know how much of a Kasabian fan is... But I've lost most of my buzz for the album... It seems like an album my nan would buy, except SS, V!, DAF and R-W... I feel cheated... If the whole album sounds like this, good luck for it being in my top 5 albums of the year. I am very, very disappointed.

It's an album of 3 decent tracks, a hyped up pop song and a bunch of Thick As Thieves

I caved and listened to Acid Turkish Bath. Sounds in-fucking-credible that one. A hint of George Harrison post-India era in it!!
Bit worried about the rest of it though judging from the posts above.
Loving the sounds of La Fee Verte and Acid Turkish bath though judging from the clips. That along with already liking Switchblade Smiles and Days Are Forgotten I know I won't be overly disappointed.
