I love Different Gear, Still Speeding, it's a brilliant album but I'm guessing in the second album Beady Eye will really find their sound if you know what I mean, I'm excited to see which direction they go in next. DGSS was quite soft and had a lot of ballads and was more about the melodies, I'm hoping the second album has a lot of songs like Four Letter Word, real raw rock n roll. I'd be happy if they just went for it and wrote a few songs like Eyeball Tickler, just in your face rock, obviously have a couple of ballads as well but that's what I'm hoping for in the second album.
What about you?

So you want Beady Eye to make an Oasis record I don't mind which direction they go but if I was to make a guess then I think they will go heavier leaning towards the sounds of SOTEOTN & B&S. That sort of 60's/70's vibe mixed in with little bluesy songs and the odd psychedelic or slower tune.

I think they will keep walking in the same direction, if they plan to hire Lillywhite again. Not a bad thing of course

I think they are gonna chose song that will flow with the existing set list.
I hope for more upbeat tunes...but who knows
Some seem to be certain that they are gonna be more experimental. I don't think so though.

I really hope we'll get more Four Letter Words in their second album. FLW is by far the best rock song on the album and I want them to go in that direction again. Liam's always talking about BDI being a proper R&R band...show us some upbeat, heavy rockers!

i think they'll strip it back a little, heavy guitars and piano

I've always wanted to hear Liam's vocals in a hard rock record.. I'll keep dreaming.

Nah I don't think it will be full of FLW's and I don't want that either. I really like DGSS and hope that the second one will go on in the same direction, but maybe with a little bit more psychadelia, like Andy mentioned. I'm really looking forward anyways!

A direction without lillywhite in it. DGSS is okay but the sound was way too polished. On the other hand, their bsides sounded amazing. they should just produce it themselves.

I think it'd be great if they kept integrating the piano.
I like the concept of the driving piano...but I don't particular like BTL.

Me also wants a more raw album in the vein of FLW.

I don't think they'll step too far outta their comfort zone. Wigwam was far enough on the debut, we'll probably get one or two songs like that on the second. I too hope it'll be a bit more experimental and heavier than DGSS but I don't think that will happen.

I'd really like if they went for a rockier sound, but honestly, listening to DGSS, I like the slower songs more. Except for Four Letter Word and Three Ring Circus, the rocking songs are the weaker ones, in my opinion.
I think they have more potential mixing it up, like they did in DGSS.

I think they should start making their music BIG. DGSS is a proper pop album, with nice mellow melodies... The second album should be all about the anthems and the wall of sound, which Liam said it would sound like.
It should be Beady Eye's Morning Glory IMO xD

He also said that DGSS was rocking.
Don't take Liam's statements too literally

Probably be much of the same in all honesty, just a mashup of all the kinds of music they love, which was basically what DGSS was. Would definitely like some decent rockier tracks though 2nd time around

YEE ;D I didn't like the production in the album tbh, quite poor in my opinion, but I don't think they're going to change that much, as I think they're quite confortable with how the things are going.

I read what I said at the time, and yeah, although I think it would be good if they still mixed it up a little, I'm probably leaning more towards them being less "rocky".
I find more potential in songs like Wigwam, In The Bubble With a Bullet, Morning Son, World Outside My Room and even The Roller itself, which are slow to mid-tempo songs. But we know Liam will still have his short rockers, Gem will still write his glam rockers and, in that case, I hope Andy writes his rockers, which are usually the best among the three.

As long as some songs have the same feel as In the Bubble With a Bullet, I'll be fine

Does anyone know if the bsides have been recorded as they've gone on.
They definitely sound fresher and Liam's voice has been sounding smoother and smoother - if that's the case the we're in for a treat with the new album.

More like the b-sides, less like the a-sides, please.

I KNOW it's going to be floaty, dreamy psychedelia with some rock'n'rollers thrown in for good measure.
