I do think Noel will def have some upbeat slightly faster tunes on the album in the vein of FD and RM Exciting times people!

I hope you're right about the blasting interpretation.....Not to be a killjoy, but he could have simply meant that the volume was loud enough for him to hear (and nothing more). We know. Bur generally you don't blast dreary acoustic stuff. You do when you're mixing it.

In L.A, is he mixing the album with Sardy at the Village? I think that has to be the biggest possibility after the last two Oasis records were mixed there.

Exponentially more excited for Noel's album than I was for Beady Eye, as everyone should be.

It's not being a killjoy, its just offering a different perspective. That's what forums are meant for. And yeah, there is a possibility that blast could pertain to him just playing it loud, just for the hell of it. But I think I'll stick with what could be the most likely reason. That its not an album filled up with dreary acoustics.

Noel's a smart man. He knows his voice is better-suited for the acoustic stuff. (See the acoustic tour where he was amazing) Yeah, he can sing songs like "Step Out" but i really wouldn't hold my breath for a rocking album. I think it's gonna be mostly like the songs he was playing on the DOYS tour that he was playing during soundcheck.

Also, during the first interview that Liam did after the break-up, he stated that Noel had a batch of songs that "he didn't want his brother singing" which would lead me to believe they're more acoustic than heavy rock n roll.

So the only two choices here are acoustics or rockers?

This is SO exciting...2011 is the best year for music in a long time.
I hope for songs like Record Machine - not acoustic, no real rocker either. Doesn't really matter though, Noel's a genius and I am pretty sure whatever he does will turn out great.

Nice to see you back yup you are correct. dave is a very talented guy his scores are something almost in the vein of ennio morricone probably why noel likes him.

I think Noel likes working with Sardy. He gets that heavy and layered sound that I think Noel was after on BHN, Bag It Up is a great example of that.
Not 100% definite that he will but at the moment thats all we have, he worked with Oasis twice after and in L.A where Noel seems to be now. All we can go on at the moment.
