I doubt it will make the album but it'd be a great B-side!

As much as I have been reading about whether or not you guys like the idea of Noel collaborating with AA, my sources tell me that most likely, these sessions wont see the light of day!! What you guys have to understand is, as much as you think Noel wont take no bullshit, in the record industry, management and A&R people have a huge amount of input in how a record is made. They dont like the AA material, no one does!! THATS FACT Its sounding bad and it is just not working, this comes from the people that have been IN THE STUDIO WITH HIM LAST YEAR! I can pretty much guaranteed, much to my disappointment, that you will see a rock album from Noel and NOT the AA reworking of it! That's the way this industry works! that is too bad.

I wrote that shit on march 25th! Turns out this might actually have a chance to happen Best case scenario is if we'll get an late autumn release. I'm guessing Noel will wait for Beady Eye to get the biggest part of their tour finished, at least outta respect for some of his old bandmates. Some of my wishes for the new album: - A varied listening experience. I wouldn't wan't an album full of Little By Little and tracks like that (Even though it's one of my fave Oasis songs). I wan't anthems, pure psychadelica, acoustic songs, experimental songs, and of course rockers. - Maybe this will provoke someone here, but I see Noel as the lesser rocker than what Liam is. I hope he steps up on the plate here, and delivers some awesome wild rock tunes. I know he's capable of it. Check out the demo of I Can See A Liar. Very raw vocals, and unpolished instruments. Example of a "bad" Noel rock song: Full On, I think it's a good song, but in my opinion, the track is waaaay to polished for what a song like that should sound like. - I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine. That song needs to be included. It's gotta be my favorite unreleased Noel tune. He should make it about 10 minutes long though and fill it up with "50 shitty guitar solos" ;D No seriousley, that song has in my opinion potential to be a new All Around The World. - The Crouch End Choir + The Wired Strings should all make appearances on the album. Preferably both on "If I Had A Gun". And be sure to turn up the choir this time as well!!! - Release b-sides like Beady Eye does. And for God sakes: DON'T SAVE THE AMAZING SONGS FOR B-SIDES!!!! That should be all my wishes I think. At least what I can think of this moment! I'm getting proper excited now, and fingers crossed we'll get some official news soon

We've taken what you have said into account. There is really not much more you can add that will change people's mind IMHO. You have to understand there is a lot of misinformation about Oasis out there. We take everything with a degree of cynicism and you really can't expect us not to. We don't know your sources and how reliable they are. They may even be telling the truth as they see it...doesn't mean it is the ultimate truth. At the end of the day the album that comes out will be the album that comes out. It really doesn't matter if everyone believes you. Some people on here would question your reliability if we had incontrovertible proof you were Paul Gallagher. Most of the time we don't even believe Noel. lol I agree. It's not an indictment on sourmash, but anyone who was here during DOYS (and some during DBTT), knows how it gets on this forum. And if you read back to previous threads, there's stuff in some of those that sounds like viable info. But not really panned out. I mean literally, during DOYS every week there was a new rumor. Just need more than one source to say, that it's a confirmation. Anything less, really isn't good enough. I mean if sourmash stuff could be confirmed by say theriddler or webby, or someone extremely established and trustworthy, then it would be a lot easier to swallow. But the fact that so far, sourmash is the ONLY one who has alluded to infighting and Noel basically working on 2 different solo album, doesn't really help. And plus, sourmash isn't getting this news directly. He has alluded that he's getting it from his source. Sources can either be wrong or misinformed. In the end, we don't know how deep his source goes and we don't have confirmation by another source yet, either.

No. Absolutely not. Noel's best material tends to be his freshest. There's a reason why Record Machine and Stop the Clocks have not been released. They're just not very good. When Noel sits on material, its because its not good enough. All Around the World is an old song that made Be Here now that he wrote pre-DM. I personally think its the worst "big" song they ever did until Let There Be Love, which was also an old tune. I highly doubt Record Machine or Stop the Clocks will ever be released properly, and if they are, they'll be the versions we already have on some sort of outtakes/anthology collection should that ever happen.

Well LTBL is the first Oasis song I truly loved, and I still thinks it's one of their most beautiful. And AATW is also one of my favorites, blew me away on first listen, never thought Oasis would make a song like that. It can't last Lang enough for me, makes me happy, it's pure ear candy IMHO ;-) So bring on IWLADIMRM!! (damn that's tough to write )

I agree with everything you say apart from Record machine not being very good, i think theres a reason why that 1 song sticks out the most out of all the unreleased demo's and soundcheck recordings, its pretty epic in its demo form so with full production i find it hard to believe it would not be very good, i think its the last oasis tune that gets near to the euphoric build up of CS with the guitar solo and middle 8 etc, Just my opinion, and like i say spot on with the rest

Well LTBL is the first Oasis song I truly loved, and I still thinks it's one of their most beautiful. I think its pompous, overproduced, and completely shit. The early version (It's A Crime) is at least honest. And Record Machine is dad rock at its finest. Its the first cousin of Force of Nature.

Especially the middle part sung by Noel alsways gets to me. De gustibus et coloribus...

I highly doubt Record Machine or Stop the Clocks will ever be released properly, and if they are, they'll be the versions we already have on some sort of outtakes/anthology collection should that ever happen. Don't be so sure of that. Record Machine was originally slated to appear on Dig Out Your Soul, but didn't make the cut because Liam left to get married. Personally, I think that's complete bollocks, as they had plenty of time to get it done afterwards. Whatever the reason was though, he did want it on the last album, meaning the song might have a special significance to him, which leads me to believe he might revisit it in the future as well. Hell, for all we know, he might wanna sing the whole tune himself? Same goes for Stop The Clocks. The tune is roughly the same age as Record Machine (From around 'early to late '02, maybe a little earlier?). We have proof that Noel revisited that song as late as '09 while in Asia, again, meaning the song probably still has some importance for him. Might be wrong here of course, but I really hope Noel still wishes these two tracks here to get a proper release. Beady Eye did a fantastic job with The Roller, so no reason why Noel can't do the same with the two afformentioned tracks. Record Machine deserves to be a massive A-side, with a 100-piece orchestra, epic guitar solos, and the Crouch End Choir working for their life God, I wish it where '97 again. As you probably understand, Samelo, Be Here Now is my fave Oasis album. Probably why we disagree so much on this subject Stop The Clocks is an alright song. I thought the "new" soundcheck version he did back in '09 was a bit better than the original, as I prefer the more higher vocals on that version compared to the demo version. I won't be very disapointed if it doesn't end up on the album though, but I'd really appreciated it as a future b-side

I'm sure if Noel saw all this bitching about him he would laugh and think "what idiots". I find it to be pure entertainment. Arguing over our savior There's shit else to talk about What about Liam's great vocals on Across the Universe. Were they fantastic or what?? ;D *sarcasm*
