Thanks for the update. Noel will still deny it though lol. The day the albums out in shops, he'll be telling everyone he hasnt touched his guitar in a year, just watching 'telly and eating crisps'.

Not sure I fully understand what this means. He's brought in Amorphous Androgynous to help mix the album? If the album was 'completed' last year then where and when did he record it?

YES. Anyone think we might actually get it earlier than the fall? (Wishful thinking probably )

We've got strong rumors of sessions in Abbey Road and Blackbarn Studios (Wellers studio) And I am sure that Noel could have found a studio on the downlow if he so desired...which obviously he did.

Official hype in May, single in July, album in October? oasisnews (who gave this tip) previously said single in september, album in October. If any of this is to be believed I think we are looking @ a fall release. But then again...Miles Kane has been touring before his album drops...and some the rumors that Noel is gonna do some summers dates could be valid. In which case we'll hear the songs before summer...albeit not the finished versions.

Does that actually state they're producing the album? Based on your translation it seems he may have brought them in at the end for some mixing/touch-ups. Maybe he had a couple ideas for some songs he couldn't get right but thought they might have the magic touch?
btw- i would still expect October at the earliest for the release. He's got to get it mastered, get the artwork done etc. There's always a good 3-4 months of waiting once an official announcement is made. Doesn't look like we're THAT close to anything official just yet. I would guess we'll get something to nibble on in June?

Maybe he had a couple ideas for some songs he couldn't get right but thought they might have the magic touch? Maybe not. It's not my translation. It's a translation the source gave if you check the link. AA's drummer said in December they were halfway through working on Noel's solo album. So I am guessing that haven't just popped in @ the very end to tweak a few songs.

Well it probably explains why we're close to getting some new Noel material now and not in 2013. He was probably fairly excited to work with them i'd imagine. Would've probably sat on his smurfy ass for a while if he was going about it the normal 'solo' way.
If AA are heavily involved then his album could either be mindblowingly amazing or a little too weird. There's obviously some gray area in there but it seems like it'll be very interesting to say the least.

With AA producing, I just hope this album won't end up being too 'extreme' for most people...

I really liked the ambient sounds and little things that were done on DOYS to make it flow. I hope they do things like that. And listening to AA's work I think they'll be great at that.
Also hoping there will be a few cool Easter-egg type things mixed in. Like when they put the backwards clip of CS on TSOTL.

There was stuff like that all over Be Here Now as well...just listen to the beginning and ends of songs, a bunch of random noises, backwards bits and DYKWIM even has morse code.

TSOTL was just the first one that came to mind. I was only referring specifically to DOYS for the ambient bits

Where is the chorus? I am hoping for a three minute xylophone solo while backwards keyboards play. As for you GD Forever ambient pieces on Dig Out Your Solo? Jesus, your point of reference when it comes to music is small.

It is only an internet forum. You can lighten up.
