The High Horse Banhart Remix is amazing.
Easily my favorite of the remixed album tracks from DOYS
I think the best point of reference for this wanting to get a feel for AA is the 22 minute Falling Down they did.

What Jamie precisely said was that it wasn't his bag. Bur he did mention the word 'soundscape' which I wasn't thrilled about.be interesting to know what he made of DOYS and the remixes though. ha the album is not going to sound like doys remixes. here is a point of reference for you I'm sorry...did you hear the album ad not tell us?

nope. but you don't need to hear the album to know what its reference points will be musically. especially when it comes to those songs.

You know who seem most melodramatic on this thread? Those that are saying people are panicking.
You guys are like, "stop panicking" to which people reply "I'm not panicking, I'm mildly concerned" to which everyone replies, "Get of the ledge! Pull yourself together. Suicide watch! You are jumping at shadows!" and I'm just like, "an apparently legitimate source has said that Noel is remixing his album. Sounds like he wasn't pleased with the first finished product the first time. Hope they can get it to their satisfaction" for which I am chastised for "having narrow musical tastes" lol

gdforever, i am so confident that noel solo album will have a similar vibe to the songs posted that i am willing to leave the forum if they don't. here is the catch though you have to leave the board if they do.
hopefully you take me up on the offer.

The worst thing Noel could do with his solo career is release just to "sell", so stfu NL4E and gdforever. This is his time to release whatever the fuck he wants to. I want him to be happy artistically more than appease some dipshits on a message board who care far too much about commercial bullshit that they'll never see a dime of. No reason to tell anyone to shut up. This is a forum. Forums are meant for debate. NL4E and GDForever offer very valid opinions. Just because they may not align with yours does not mean that you have to tell them to shut up. And GDForever never made any kind of point that said that Noel should listen to the record company. I suggest you read more closely before you tell someone to shut up. And NL4E didn't come that close to making that point either. All he said was that he was a bit worried. But neither of them have said that Noel should bow down to the record company or Russell.

That was a response to NL4E. Same thing with jumping at shadows. And the ledge thing was sarcasm. There were smilies there right? Please don't use my quotes for your basis for an argument and don't read clearly first. I don't even think that I've really disagreed with you on this thread. lol I'm not willing to call sourmash a stone cold lock as a source. I need to hear at least 2 other confirmations. And so far, the Russell thing has not been confirmed, nor has the remixing. So I don't see how anyone can say that that is a solid source. Living in a twitter age has really messed up, what we call a solid source and a confirmation of info. For now, it is panicking.

I wouldnt and I dont expect anyone else to take it any other way. And you're right, the actual quote was something about Noel being a "global superstar" as if he actually gives a shit about that anymore, and it was by neither of those two. I stand by telling NL4E and gdforever to shut up though. Anyone who's afraid or worried about what a musician may release is a moron. Be excited we're not going to be waiting 3 or 4 years or at least wait till you hear a note before shitting your pants. IMO the AA news is the best Noel-related news in the last decade.

Noel is just about to finish mastering his debut solo album in Los Angeles.
I hear he bumped into MARK WAHLBERG in Toys R Us in Hollywood the other day."
The Sun today.

And even though this is the Sun, sourmash is still the only person that has said that Noel is doing anything, but putting final mixes on. He's the only one who has talked about an almost entire overhaul of his solo album and infighting within the kinda Gallagher camp. And LOL at Mark Wahlberg. That might be a complete lie. ahahaha

I'm not worried about what he'll release only when. I am displeased that this could possibly mean a delay. A scrapped session means delay. Trying reading my posts ace! For the record I've always been full on behind that AA involvement. I have never said that I wanted Noel to release a conservative album. If you can find me a post where I shit my pants please shot it to me.

You sure catch a lot of flack around here gd, haha.
I know this sourmash guy is supposedly credible, but I still find it hard to believe Noel would write an album that wouldn't seem somewhat commercially viable.
Someone mentioned TSOTL and Lyla were the last songs written for the last 2 albums as a management decision. That's a fair point, but those albums also had some other really good songs on them like TIOBI, POTQ, LTBL, TT, WFTR, FD. Those may not all be #1's or high charting singles but they're good enough to raise the albums' overall impact.
If this is all true you can count me as fairly shocked. I figured Noel would try some new stuff, maybe something like Teotihuacan, but even that has a nice beat/groove to it. If the music is so stank they suggested he re-do it...then i'm surprised. I'd still love to hear that shit though, just to know how far he went.

My ears have been burning, so though I would sign up and say hello! I'm sourmashmusic and I seem to be the the topic of conversation at the moment! So where to start! Info is Noel is in LA, but you all knew that anyway! Reason why he is there!! Now that is another interesting story. He is definitely working with Amorphous Androgynous, has been since last year. The album was finished then too, but the interesting part is why he is still doing it! His "people" ie Ignition/Marcus Russell have not liked any of the material he has done with AA. They have convinced him to do rein it in and release something more commercial! Hence why he is in LA to theoretically get away from his management. He is in the studio with them and Sardy and basically remixing and doing overdubs for it. The album was complete a while ago, so much so I know for a fact there are 2 albums worth of material now!!! (but again thats old news!) I was also the guy that broke the news about him working with The Sand Band from Liverpool! Which is also true and they will eventually become his touring band! (you will just have to watch this space on that one) I can't obviously convince all of you, but my sources are good and to clear it up, I am not affiliated with Noel and his management, well not really! Anyway, that's all you are getting from me! Look forward to the backlash! Finished? Last year? That was fast! Are we talking about the same Noel?

As much as I have been reading about whether or not you guys like the idea of Noel collaborating with AA, my sources tell me that most likely, these sessions wont see the light of day!!
What you guys have to understand is, as much as you think Noel wont take no bullshit, in the record industry, management and A&R people have a huge amount of input in how a record is made. They dont like the AA material, no one does!! THATS FACT Its sounding bad and it is just not working, this comes from the people that have been IN THE STUDIO WITH HIM LAST YEAR!
I can pretty much guaranteed, much to my disappointment, that you will see a rock album from Noel and NOT the AA reworking of it! That's the way this industry works!

We've taken what you have said into account. There is really not much more you can add that will change people's mind IMHO.
You have to understand there is a lot of misinformation about Oasis out there. We take everything with a degree of cynicism and you really can't expect us not to. We don't know your sources and how reliable they are. They may even be telling the truth as they see it...doesn't mean it is the ultimate truth.
At the end of the day the album that comes out will be the album that comes out.
It really doesn't matter if everyone believes you. Some people on here would question your reliability if we had incontrovertible proof you were Paul Gallagher. Most of the time we don't even believe Noel. lol
