This is also the person who has not really said anything about the music. I think that's what GDForever meant. Yes he's a bit in the know, but he hasn't heard the album, as he said. So right now, anything that were getting about if the album is good or not, is purely third party sources. But somebody on here HAS *allegedly* heard the album...just read oneexcitedyoungmanfan's posts. And he did not like it. But yes if you don't want to trust anyone's opinions of the album until you're listening to it yourself, that's fine with me. Let's go with that. His taste might not be the same as yours or mine. I just don't like to hear people going by other's peoples taste. Like I said, people were saying DOYS was as good as Revolver, and the dancer from the BTL video said, that that song sounded amazing.

I know what you mean about the fact that everyone shouldn't be freaking out. But you must admit that the idea of the management people lacking confidence in the material is not something that should inspire confidence amongst the fanbase. I am not going to out too much stock in this...but that isn't a good thing to hear is it? Noel going to LA to mix is one thing...Noel going to LA to remix is another. If Noel fully believed in the album he'd tell Ignition to shove it, I am sure. But if he was convinced that he should re-touch it and remix it...that means something. It means he wasn't fully satisfied with it himself when he took a step back. Yeah, but this management. A&R. Their job is to make sure that Noel puts the best foot forward that he can commercially. But just because something is geared toward being commercial, doesn't mean that it's bad. Right now were going with the premise that Management doesn't want the album because it's not as commercial. But that doesn't mean that the songs that he has are bad. I get that Noel maybe not feeling fully confident about an album doesn't bode well, but in the end, Noel was fully confident in BHN, SOTSOG, and HC. Where did those go. His management didn't step into either one of those. Now we're suppose to believe that they have the golden ear. Noel in the end will follow his gut. And that's all that really matters. And again, do we know if he's re-doing the entire album. Or just certain songs. Do we know how good the anthemic songs are. Like I said before, for all we know it could be a repeat of LBL. I know what you are saying about the A&R thing. They aren't bullet-proof arbiters of tastes. What worries me, as I said, is that NOEL is reworking something. That means they didn't get it to his satisfaction the first time. I am not worried about Noel putting out something that he doesn't believe in. Noel will think nothing of just pulling the plug on this project if he doesn't see it working out...he did it with Oasis...he'd do it again. BUT that'll mean a significant delay in the release. *sigh* I want something good...I want something soon. And for THAT reason I want it to go hitch free.

That person who said DOYS was as good as Revolver was Alan McGee. So I wouldn't put too much stock in his "anthemic" opinion either.

Get rid of that AA crap. That shit sucks. If songs are well-written, they don't need that psychedelic nonsense.

Yes, everyone shouldnt take the news from a third party(and even Noel himself)who could hype it up as the new bollocks, I will have to hear the single and bside(s) to have an actual impression of what the heck Noel has done in 1 year and months. If Noel brings some experimental music in the vein of AA i wont care since he is the one who made me listen to music i will respect him even if its not the best solo record ever made because he has given so much to me(and everyone here as well). So lets wait and see what Noel G has to bring to the pitch.

We should literally start a suicide watch on this forum. Seems like people are going to ledge every time they hear any scraps of info. No, what we should do is just ignore them and they either will go away or learn to wait.

I think all of us are in agreement that as long as Noel is completely satisfied with his work and 100% behind it, then we as fans will also appreciate it. And to me it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as he gets it right. (and knows that he got it right.)

So apparently Noel's management are dissatisfied with the product?
Yet they were satisfied with all the post-Morning Glory albums....
The fact is that Ignition Management are only interested in reaping profits from radio friendly songs. Musicians and management should be left alone with their own separate responsibilities.

Noel wants AA to be involved in his work. Just listen to this short interview.
He loves them, and with phrases like "completely changed the way you hear music," you would expect that he wants that same feeling on his record.
I'm fine if he wants to try something new. We all know anyways that he wont be able to play these psychedelic songs live, so we will probably still be getting some stripped back, acoustic versions.

So apparently Noel's management are dissatisfied with the product? This according to some doucher on twitter who has no known affiliation with anything Oasis/Gallagher/universe related. I'm amazed this much discussion has happened based on this guy's musings. OasisNews posted that Noel was in LA working with AA. That's the only credible piece of info that I'm willing to believe. All this crap about management hating Noel's stuff so far is pure hearsay. You guys are either gullible as hell or bored off your friggin sacks.

Oasisnews' update about Noel and AA in LA came from this guy tbf. Did it? hahaha I may have to take some of that back. ;D Still smells extremely fishy to me. I hope OasisNews check their sources well. This guy comes out of nowhere with a tidbit of info and then claims to know management are unhappy with Noel's record, then says he's "heard" it was anthemic, but we all know Alan McGee said that months ago. The fact that XCREMENT/Rollinice/ beetlebum/King Fruitcake is in here pretending its real makes me even more skeptical.

It's important to take all new information with a grain of salt of course, but I can't think of a reason for someone to come on here and fabricate a story about the management being unhappy with the record unless there was some truth to it.
It is much easier to come on here and make up a story about how amazing the album is than it is to instead say that there are problems with it that were previously unrevealed.

Oh, that makes me nervous. Pit in my stomach...god I hope it turns out good. I think he should listen to his management a bit...but correct me if I am wrong...isn't it their place more business and PR related than creative? Why are they getting a say on this @ all. God, I hope that Noel isn't just trying to salvage something not worth salvaging. And I hope this whole session doesn't have to be scrapped like the DIV ones were. Because then we have to wait ages for Noel to take a step back and restart! Had Noel been dissatisfied with the finished project? Do you know? fuck off luddite no one with a ounce of a musical palette wants him to release a dad rock record. we have old school weller for that (stanley road, wildwood, and heavy soul) marcus russell is a moron he was the one who pushed noel to have let there be love on don't believe the truth, did not step in and overrule noel during the overblown be here now sessions, and pushed them into touring commitments when they were on the verge of combusting in 1996. he is also the reason why the british media turned on oasis following be here now. ignition were responsible for that ridiculous embargo that was put in place with the press. hopefully noel listens to sardy, aa, and mcgee who will support noel no matter what he does. Ive had my differences with Rolli, no doubt. But he's dead on here. A lot of decisions the band made in relation to album material was via Marcus Russell. Its not a coincidence that the last two records, the last song recorded in both cases (Lyla & The Shock of the Lightning) were the last two recorded for the album and ended up lead singles. This is widely known and no secret. Noel was forced to write a "single" in both instances. Granted, both are decent enough tunes, but clearly it was a decision from outside the band. I believe the sourmash fellow, despite his overusage of ! there is more than enough evidence that Noel is in LA and his relationship with both AA and Sardy is irrefutable. Noel doesnt go to LA on vacation. Im further convinced that whatever Noel releases is going to shit on Beady Eye from great heights and without even hearing a note. The worst thing Noel could do with his solo career is release just to "sell", so stfu NL4E and gdforever. This is his time to release whatever the fuck he wants to. I want him to be happy artistically more than appease some dipshits on a message board who care far too much about commercial bullshit that they'll never see a dime of.

We need to get Jamie back on here tomorrow to get an official comment from him regarding sourmashmusic's posts. Maybe Jamie will give us some more insights as to why specifically he didn't like the sound of the album.

How the hell did I get cast as the Noel G hater or thinking that he shouldn't do what he likes? Read my previous posts. All I am doing is hoping it goes well. I'm not one of the morons hoping for Noel to put out something non-experimental! All I am doing is hoping that it goes well whatever he is doing. I don't care that much about what the management think...I am more curious about the insinuation that Noel shares some of the misgivings. I obviously haven't been clear about my opinion. I'll listen to whatever Noel puts out and I am sure that it will be quality. I don't care which route he goes in terms of psychedelic/anthemic or any mixture in between. I am excited about AA's involvement more than any of the other rumors. I want the production of the album to go off without a hitch because that means we get the music sooner. The ONLY reason that this little snippet raises alarm bells IS NOT because I think the music will be bad or I won't like it but because a delay or scrapping of the album session means that the album will come out later None of us want that so you stfu.
