I don't think thats bad at all really
It's pretty obvious that our sort of music isn't in at the moment & other shit is, it could get another big Push if they release the right song from the album, overall though not really bothered about the chart
I think they'll want to get into the studio pretty sharpish after the tour

Can anybody help me get that into real terms? What is the equivalent of 1 unit?

Sorry I didnt realise it was that simple with them calling them units.
Not bad ending up 3rd but its a long way behind 1 & 2, DOYS sold more in the first day then this has all week. I honestly expected a few more Oasis fans to buy it.

It's crazy to think that only 66,000 albums were sold. Thats enough people to sell out just one night of a UK stadium tour. Just shows the sorry state of todays music sales.

I'm not sure Definitely Maybe would have fared better today. It's a good result and it definitely shows that the boys aren't totally neglected - my local big media store had it on 7 in the top 10 albums of the week, that's encouraging.

I kind of like the fact they are not so popular or as big as Oasis, the underdog mentality will bring great second record

They should release The Beat Goes On as soon as possible as the second single and follow it with For Anyone in the summer....if they do that,i think it could sell a lot more..

They could have had #2 had Jessie J not brought her album release forward

You would think the majority of people who got a ticket for the gig would get the album but obviously not

Doesn't look like its gonna made top 20. Going into the weekend the #17 album had already sold between 21-24k. Bad week in the US to come out with something. Probably will chart in the low 20's in the US.

The UK tours this month and April will be below that mark. These 6 dates add up to around 16,000 and the rest in April will be no more than 25,000 altogether I dont think.

so much for loyalty from the Oasis fans

The main reason I want the album to sell is that
a. They don't get dropped by their record company (which I could see happening in the US based on poor sales) b. Lose motivation because nobody is buying their records.
I love DGSS and would like a couple of more albums before Oasis gets back together (if they do). If this album bombs, it might be harder to get another album out.

Poor sales are good. Perhaps, they will try harder next time.

Poor sales are good. Perhaps, they will try harder next time. Again, only if they care about sales. Which it looks like they don't.

Liam said he doesn't care but I'm not sure he likes to see that BE album sold in one week less than doys in one day

imo it's not really about what else is "in" or "hot" at the moment. A band like Oasis doesn't rely on that kind of crap, they rely on their fanbase to get their asses to the shops and buy the damn thing. i am extremely upset about this result because even though i an an american and the UK market technically shouldn't even matter to me, i can't help but to think that if this album had the word OASIS instead of BEADY EYE on the front cover, it would've sold at least 180 thousand copies. So, what am i saying? im saying not every oasis fan bought the album. this only points to Noel dickriders making up their minds that they're not gonna help this band out(even if it 4/5 of Oasis) just because Noel is absent.
shame on them and i swear to god i hope the Liam fans do the same thing when Noel's album comes out. Having that said, i will buy Noel's record when it comes out just because im not an idiot and i am an objective person. I will support both of them.

^ Chill out.
Maybe Oasis fans heard a few tracks from the album, thought it sounded shit, and didn't buy it.
There's no "pro-Noel" conspiracy.
