Well, being at number 10 after 4 huge new entries, Adele's 2 albums, and Rihanna, Jessie J and Bruno Mars, is no tragedy. With no hit singles, it's still a great success.

If they don't release The Beat Goes On as the next single, this album is finished in the charts....

To still be in the top 10 after two weeks is brilliant.

in the US, the album tanked from number 31 in the first week of sales to 168 on the billboard top 200 albums...BUT...it is number 41 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart and number 25 on Billboards Independent Albums chart

How you could possibly spin 41 in the Rock Albums and 25 in the Indy albums as something good is beyond me.

Just thought I would point out that the new Strokes album entered at number 3 as well and had no other new album competition and was beaten to 2nd by a two year old album.
Deasy - do you know how much the Strokes album sold in comparison?

Thanks adds a bit of perspective to Beady Eye's sales as The Strokes are festival headliners in the UK.
Do you know how much Elbow sold first week to get number two?
Or could you direct me to where I can see sales figures as I couldn't see it on my google search.
