I love it, but it does remind me of a slowed down version of "It's A Small World Afterall" Anyone else get that vibe? NL4E. Parodying himself since 2011. Actually, I stand by that comparison: It is a slowed down version of It's A Small World After All. It's such a cheesy Disney, mickey mouse song. Terrible.

Funny how pretty much everybody seemed to love TBGO, including many long-time members...guess that was just post-Oasis hype.

I'll be honest. I think it's shit.
Dull, derivative, boring... and even Liam's vocals aren't good. As it's too often the case with Andy's songs, I can't believe it's been written by the same man who wrote Vapour Trail.
Such an appalling song, I probably have listened to it once in the last three years.

The Beat Goes On? Judging by early reactions to it, this thread should be renamed The Meat Beat Goes On!!! (*groans*) In all seriousness though, one of the most shameful and downright embarrassing threads in L4E history. Let us never speak of it ever again.

TBGO is a pretty shit song, but it somehow manages to be a highlight on DGSS because it is surrounded by even bigger pieces of shit. Funny how that works out!

Along with 80% of DGSS, it is sub-par
IMO, of course.

My biggest issue is that is sounds like it was written in 1965. Then again that is what 95% of DGSS sounds like.

Only listened to Vapour Trail for the first time a few months ago - holy shit, Ride were so much better than anything the man has ever done afterwards. As for TBGO, I still feel there is a good melody in there, but the lyrics, production and, honestly, the vocals make it hard to enjoy.

I do too. It's a solid ballad that does alright for itself if you think of it as just a song on its own, and not something that was wrote for Oasis. My favourite moments of the song is probably some of the lines in Verse 3(?), "Thought it was the end of the world /Deep with guitars and all that I understand is here" and "And it's not the end of the world, oh no /It's not even the end of the day". Such simple lines that express some sincere meaning to themselves. Add that with the piano in the solo and some of the backing vocals, and it's an enjoyable song.

Sorry so much, but that was a good song. Not brilliant, but the whole album is weak obviously...

i still LOVE it and it s in my top 5 Beady Eye tunes. A song with a great melody and beautiful key changes, a highlight with an all time classic retro feeling. If that tune was a 90s oasis song, the forum would go mad 4it and thanks God it doesnt sound like a so.n.so modern ballald or i dont know what some people expect from it... A stadium anthem and when it comes to "...And it's not the end of the world, oh no/It's not even the end of the day..." everything turns emotionally to 11! This song gave me goosebumps! Its also the song that turned my girlfriend from a hater to a beady eye lover, so hands down guys!
(*sometimes i think that i would love to hear a version with the soaring Noel guitars from the mid 90s...)

The single as a whole is one of the best since the split in my opinion. 2 great songs.

i do genuinely love it tbh. First time i heard it it was a wow moment for me, i'd admit it lost that level fast tho.
I know its cliche, it reminds me of a shit hymn you'd sing when you was 8 in primary school but.... i still love the song

I've probably praised this track in the past, but...
It's aged terribly!

The one thing it did show for me with the Blue Moon/TBGO Manchester City kit release video was that in a lower and more restrained key Liam Gallagher may still have a future as a front man- whether that actually happens is another matter entirely.
