Of all the songs on the album, time will definitely be most kind to TBGO. The record as a whole is solid, don't get me wrong -- better than HC and possibly even 1 or 2 other Oasis LPs -- but 5 years down the line TBGO is the song most people will remember, no doubt about it.

That's a very good point actually, but I'd still cling onto the hope that the rest of the album will be remembered too.

Yeah i think there are saxophones, or maybe keyboards making saxophones sounds. And yeah, the Big Man is fuckin fantastic, even if he´s gettin old now I think that "saxophone" sound is similar to this weird bass thing:

love the way the piano just plays the song out nicely, and the ah ah ah's suit the song perfectly

Right ive had a few days now to properly absorb this song and im going to stick my neck out here and say TBGO is the best song liam has sung on since the WTSMG era. Im not usually one to jump the gun and go overboard about new songs but this is really just a bit special, i like DGSS its about 7.5/10 in my books but TBGO is the standout and a proper 10/10 classic song imo Just who the fuck is this Andy Bell fellow? XD

i always thought Andy was a pretty damn good songwriter. I liked his songs the most on DBTT and then was extremely disappointed with his output(only 1 song!?) on DOYS, but we all know who was responsible for that(old man). I really enjoy both KFAD and The BEat Goes On.

There's one or two many choruses in the end and the solo is fade out... other than that, huge song. Hope it's a single, and we get a radio edit

I love it, but it does remind me of a slowed down version of "It's A Small World Afterall" Anyone else get that vibe?

I thought it was the end of the world Beat with guitars, and all that I understand Is air through metal and wood I’m misunderstood And wasted on money and fame I’ll throw it away Just to prove that I can I’m the last of a dying breed And it’s not the end of the world, oh no It’s not even the end of the day
This part is clearly about the break up fight right? Andy has a big ability to write the lyrics out of Liam's perspective. Same with FLW, a lot of people instantly tought Liam had written that one because of the lyrics.

It's a decent song, but it's definitely not a classic in my book. The "someday all the world will sing my song" bit is very cheesy, to say the least. I don't see that as cheesy at all. It's cheesy if you take it literally. But I interpret song as "philosophy" or "way of thinking", etc...in the sense that 'someday the world will see things my way.' Likewise, I think the line of "In my heart the beat goes on" acts as a double entendre.....he means it literally that he'll continue to live, but it's more than that - he means that he'll continue his passion. And there's even a pun in there --> The beat signaling the songs and how he'll continue to deliver them. It's simplistic but yet deep, whether if it was intended as such is anyone's guess, though. With these interpretations, I don't think it's cheesy at all, and actually adds to the genius of the song overall. It's a classic in my book that's for sure. Is this still the case?

There was teaser for this album and just few seconds of this song. It think it was that part ,,I thought it was the end of the world...'' and my brother and i was absolutely mad fer it. And i still think that that part has something magical in it. But with every single day, this song was becoming more and more irrelevant in my life.
