While I still think the most plausible scenario is it's about Noel, I was thinking it may well be written by Andy (I still think he's the main songwriter in this song) about his divorce. Remember he did divorce recently, like 2 years ago or something.

The line "Nothing ever lasts forever!" which is repeatedly shouted out in the song, contrasts and ties in nicely with GGTIA's (which definitely is about Noel, as Liam said in many interviews in 2005) "we'll go on forever/ til the end of time" part.
Just one more "proof" to me that FLW=Noel.

where did liam say GGTIA is about noel? It's referred to in quite a number of interviews, here are a couple of examples. The first is from Mojo, June 2005 "It’s biblical innit,” explains Liam. “Cain and Abel… it’s me and our kid... Two people who are the opposite, who become one. “

Noel to Liam: “Doesn’t Cain kill Abel in the end?”
Liam to Noel: “Yeah.”
Noel to Liam: “Isn’t the first line of your song, “I could be your lover…”’
Liam to Noel [blithely unconcerned]: “Yeah.”
Noel to me (to the interviewer): “Now, if that’s not banned in this country, it’s certainly frowned upon. Brother-on-brother sex: it’s not right is it? So I’m kinda looking at Liam a bit differently lately. Strange kid…”" In case you are interested, I can dig up more examples... Of course, as we are talking about Liam here, there must also be quotes where he says it is not about Noel at all:-). However, Noel in his own 2005 interviews seems to be sure it is about him and there are quite a lot of quotes by Noel re this matter, but that wasn't your question so I'm not including those. |

I think it is about Noel but I don't think Noel is the four letter word, that would be 'love' as in he's saying I'm angry with you Noel, but I love you
