Hmm. Weird production... reverb overdose on Liam's vocals? Sounds a bit muddled, though that might just be the low quality of the rip. It's not bad, wasn't the biggest fan of the song in the first place but it's better than the original.

The bass is great. The drums are great. The guitars are great. But Liams vocals are a bit dodgy, not liking how they've done his vocals so far, they're too sharp and they've gone over-the-top with the reverb. This track could've been epic had they got them right.

I like the beginning - sounds like a few people clapping etc??? Sounds a bit like they were trying to make it sound live or soemthing. In the middle bit that there was in the teaser there was also whooping. |

Again, this song is much better than Bring the Light. More like Oasis, more like what everybody was expecting from BDI. Let's hope they can write tracks like this too.

To me it sounds like an american band playing over the credits of a film, very smooth thogh, vocals bit sinked but i dont mind wacky sounding stuff.

I still don't like the stupid keyboard, makes it sound too 1980's for my taste but it's a cover of...
what-do-i-know, a song from the 80s ?? lol
anywho, again, (just like in BTL)Liam's vocals and the overall production sound makes it seem like this was recorded in back in the day. And i guess that adds a bit to the "authenticity" of the music itself but i do not like it. If i wanted to listen to "old" stuff like that, i'd go ahead and buy myself the original records from those years.
I hated the ridiculous piano on BTL and though i actually kinda like this song, i can't stand the keyboards... whatever...
some will call me out and say i an nitpicking but i am just voicing my opinion on the song.
having said all that, i can only hope that Liam and co. can come up with better songs than what we've heard from them so far.
It has been quite pedestrian, actually pretty bad with BTL but i'll give them a pass on that one.
If the album is good, i'll buy it, if it's crap, i wont. simple as that.

I love it! It is SO much better than Bring the light. Is it me or does the beginning when the vocals come in sound like old oasis? like Cloudburst Alive etc period? then it gets more modern. i think its awesome. and SO happy its nothing like jerry lee lewis revival hour

i don't think i'd call the sound "modern", if anything it sounds like a song from the 80s.
it's still way better than btl, then again, bring the light was pretty terrible.

The opening effects sound like a real late 60s vibe, and Liam's voxe are a bit long in kicking in; once the tune settles in, it reminds me of the sort of thing T REX put out around late '72. [not a bad thing]. Not exactly earth-shattering, but I've only heard it once: hopefully it's a 'grower'. Too early to rate it definitively one way or another.
I'm not too struck on the production either, maybe it's been a lo-grade transfer to youtube. So far, Beady Eye have had a shaky start, but here's hoping that 'Rockin' Toonz' of a genuinely high calibre are forthcoming.

Woke up this morning, just about to start work and the songs available to download, top stuff.
Just on my second listen, really really like it. Never heard of this song back in the 80's, great choice by Liam and co to cover. Actually prefer this to BTL
Roll on the album which is apparently late Feb

Best thing is they're both up tempo. Thank God after four albums of mid paced Oasis!

Sounds good, like an old B side and all that, but it really hasn´t a great melody, almost all the song is the same, most of those old B sides had better melodies.
Decent effort anyway
