Hey guys ! Today it might be possible to get Sons Of The Stage for the first time, cause today the official 7' single will be released.
Today i'm at a funural of my grandma actually, so offcourse not in the position to listen to it really. If someone has it on mp3, please PM me, and for all who have listened to it then, please post your opinion here... i'm curious of what you think of it, and i hope someone can pm me the song... anyway ... what's your opinion?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to hearing it too. The original is actually quite good but an updated, more rockin' out version with Liam's vocals could be an interesting take on it.

I'm a bit confused...why are we expecting to hear it today? Is is just because the vinyls are supposed to go out today? In which case...won't it more likely be tomorrow because they have to go through the snail-mail. And unless the Royal Post is amazing...isn't same day delivery a bit much to expect?

Best regards, The Beady Eye Online Store" It will probably be the end of the week I would think before the vinyl arrives. As for a rip of the song I'd say next week. One other thing. maybe I've missed this but Sons Of The Stage hasn't been confirmed its a cover anywhere has it? Only speculation from NME? |

disappointing! Suppose people will start to receive tomorrow. Even thought there's a strong chance it's indeed a cover - I'm actually looking forward to hearing it. It could also mean that Sons of the Stage will be in the Set when they start touring?  ?? |

He hasn't got a problem with covers on the b-side i don't think, Oasis did many of great covers on the b-sides which were also used in the live set.
I think the massive grudge was with remixes as it was no new material just other recycled tracks that had a different twists.

Why does everybody think it's a cover of World of Twist if the names are different? Also, I thought I saw Liam in an interview say he's bringing back decent B-Sides, not covers or remixes? I thought he only said remixes. I have never heard him say that he is against covers before. It's the same name. World of Twist "Sons of the Stage", Beady Eye song "Sons of the Stage" Apparently the DJ used to play it @ live gigs. So chances are pretty good that it's a cover. Nothing wrong with that. I'd never heard the World of Twist tune prior to this news and it's not on my iPod, so it's a new song to me. I don't care who wrote it as long as it's good. Wish they woulda put the B-side on the single on iTunes though so we didn't have to wait. |

why do oasis fans have no common sense sometimes?
a vinyl has two sides. It's not going to have BTL on both sides.
aside from this, it was stated on the official website. The 7" will feature sons of the stage as the B-side.

Getting High was an interesting read, but Hewitt's writing is pretty poor, to be honest. |
