It sounds awesome so far, but it's sad that a cover b-side is so much better than the actual single.

Yeah true but look back at say Roll with it, a weak track on WTSMG, the b side rockin' chair was much better.
At the moment though we're just excited for anything new, b side or whatever so we're all getting a bit overexcited!

Liam is sounding a bit like John Lydon. Amazing!!

Thought Roll with it was a very weak song, very basic and no wonder Country House beat it. Plenty more better songs than roll with it on WTSMG. Just think people are getting carried away, this is just a b side, a cover to Bring the light (which appears to be a very 'marmite' type song). Just wish the album would come out now so we can tell if Bring the light is one of the 'best' songs on the album or a filler type track

Seems like Beady Eye is following in the Oasis tradition of having better b-sides than A sides.

Yeah actually good point, i remember Blur also sold two versions of the single plus it was cheaper than Roll with it.
As Country House is such a gimmicky song (I do like Blur but hated this song) it seemed the young girls/pop fans also bought it.
Roll with it isnt bad, dont get me wrong just in that 'battle' i didnt think it was going to win, just not a strong enough song in my view.
But was it Noel who said, we lost the battle but we'll win the war. And they certainly did

Sounds like an old Oasis b-side(despite it being a cover). Love the production. I'm a little underwhelmed by Liam's vocals.

Well I've always loved World Of Twist and Oasis so this was a wet dream for me. This actually proves what an amazing band Beady are (we finally get to hear Andy on guitars)... what this also shows is how weak the songwriting is on the A-Side... There will never be anything close to a Noel written, Liam sung song. And that amazing guitar riff we were teased with several weeks ago? Just a section taken from a cover song.

I know it's a cover but so far from what I've heard - Beady Eye as a band just seem so relaxed and actually enjoying what they are doing and that comes across in what we've heard
Sons Of The Stage is an excellent cover - said it on the other thread - they could easily have had this as the single
Just like old times with an excellent bside - so far I'm impressed with BE
