if chelsea loose their next game i think they will change manager despite him winning the leaugue in his first season.
great win for arsenal though, i hope they can keep this up as long as they don't beat us to the title.

You gotta love it! such a shame that the ex leeds fucker scored, but then again we should never have put ourselves in the position were they could have drawn with us. always good to have a close title race as long as we burn man city off soon it will be good to have a few teams in the race.

It really has been quite the odd season, but has been all that dramatic for it. Utd still undefeated, but barely clinging onto first, and hardly looking invincible. Arsenal having lost 5 games already are somehow still in the thick of the title race. Spurs and Citeh pushing above their pre-seasoned expected weight. And Chelsea close to falling 6th tomorrow (although I expect them to get a victory, finally, but still....). Oh, and the fact that I haven't even mentioned Liverpool (until now) speaks volumes about them! I hope the the second half of the season lives up to the first. What a ride this has been so far.

Typical Arsenal. excellent result for us, i guess wigan must have turned up today, they are a very inconsistent team but are capable of big results.

Robbed. Absolutely robbed. Citeh were playing for the draw. And we were sublime at times - specifically in the first half. If we're going to win the league, I fear we're going to have to beat Man Utd, otherwise I don't see how we'll make up that ground. Thankfully, I can continue to laugh at Chelsea. Love to see the Chavs struggle so badly.

Shit loads of money spent and all they want to do is defend. Arsenal played well, but lacked that clinical edge which is typical. They've really got to press on this next few months. I predicted that United would win the league and it looks that way - I can see them running away with it. My heart says Arsenal will resurge and could overtake Man Utd but it's unrealistic.

Arsenals problem is they always have to pass it into the net, they don't shoot on sight enough.

FFS Arsenal. That was truly dire, and Ipswich deserved their win. I'm sure we'll go on to the final after the 2nd leg, though, but still. What a shockingly bad performance.

Robin van Perise! Robin van Persie! Robin van Persie!
And he missed a penalty, could easily have had 4! And Arsenal should have had way more than they did, total dominance.
Arsenal have been the best team this year, just a tad inconsistent early on. Keep this up, and we'll over take Utd.

Ipswich fan here, absolutely superb night at Portman Road for the first leg. I shall be at The Emirates on Tuesday night, hoping and praying that 'the miracle: part two' happens!

I'm not going to lie, I was worried that the goal(s) were not going to come tonight. But it was pretty comfortable in all honesty. Now let's win the CC and end our 6 year trophy drought!

I'm not listening to anyone who says 'it's just the Carling Cup' (mostly from Man Utd fans - erm, who won them in the past two years). If we can win this then it will provide a big incentive to go on to win greater things. It will give the players the belief and confidence to really push on now.

I wasnt able to watch the Arsenal v Everton game live, so I'm watching it now with no idea of the final score.
That Saha goal was well offside, and since he was offside way before Kosy touched it means the touch didn't matter. The referee is indeed a wanker. You have no idea how angry I am right now. Learn the rules, ffs, ref. Unbelievable.
To the referee 1-nil, to the referee 1-nil......
I hope Arsenal were able to recover. This ref is utter shit.
