I don't much care.
Who would best play Liam in a movie?

Helen Mirren. Do you find the people on the PG site that dress and act like Liam with the hair and shades and everything are a bit sad?

I think its a bit too much tbh. Buy the clothes but there is no need to mimic Liam, you're never going to be him. Accept it.
If Noel was to launch a clothing range to rival his brothers what would he call it?

"In fact I've got a new clothing range, it's called 'Blue Moonlight' and let me tell you it will blow your little minds. I'm not sure if your ready for it, the clothes actually look like what Jimi Hendrix would wear in the modern day; and he's got himself into a brawl with Paul Weller and Russell Brand. F*cking Mega." haha
If you could travel back in time and go to one Oasis gig, which one?

Knebworth, purely for the feeling of watching the biggest band in the world at the height of their form with hundreds of thousands of other people.
Where do you think the first gig of a potential reunion will be?

Maybe the Astoria in London. Can see it being there for some reason.
Have you ever got anybody into Oasis?

No. All my mates like Oasis and the ones that don't hate them.
Has Noel ever spoke in depth about how he writes songs?

I dont think he has, he's spoken about the inspiration a few times but other then the Swap around another tune comment i dont think he has.
Do you think Noel will revive any unrealesed oasis songs for his solo album?
|
|
|
Post by Fellows on Aug 10, 2010 16:55:20 GMT -5
Yeah he may well just do so, however I think that as a solo artist he won't sound anything like DOYS so less sounding like Oasis or their recent records as he will of moved on from this sound, I might be wrong but hey. I hope that he will revive the track we heard from the LDSMD dvd and puts Everybody's on the run etc. on the album as that would be perfect. From rumours we've heard Noel has loads of material lying around - great can't wait to hear it but we're not expecting another wonderwall. (are we? ) Who is your favourite Oasis drummer? (Chris Sharrock for me. Heated debate I know, but it's the best I could come up with.)

It used to be Alan White but I've been listening to a lot of gigs from the DBTT tour I have to say Zack Starkey is my favourite now. His drumming can sound basic but he gets a mental sound out of em.
Shit question but what's your favourite live version of Cigarettes & Alcohol? Mine is 'Jool's Holland 2000', just listening to it now.

Buenos Aires 2001. Though Leeds 2000 was absolutely mental, despite Liams shot vox. That said, the 1998 versions were the best the band had ever done to that point I think.
Was Tony McC really all that bad? Does he deserve the shtick he gets on boards like these?

I dont think he was 'bad' just not right for the group. He's always gonna get stick but i say leave the guy alone......looking forward to his book.
Speaking of books what is your favourite Oasis book?

He could only drum what Noel told him to drum surely? So people that a child could do the DM drumming is a little unjust in my opinion. Will be interesting to see what his books reveals.....
What's your favourite bootleg (aud or sb) for really hearing the crowd sing along?

Speaking of books what is your favourite Oasis book? Forever The People or Gettin High...both brilliant reads. Personally, it's Noel Get's To The Point. Espically the version of Stand By Me where the crowd pretty much sing the entire song. Love that version Favourite b-side since 2000?

I would have to say. . . Shout It Out Loud. The first time I heard it I think I played it back like 20 times, it moved me at the time, and still does for that matter. However, I love The Boy With The Blues as well (best Liam track, by far).
If you could jam one Oasis track with Noel, which would you jam?

I would sing and or play Cloudburst with him & do it justice.....Always a dream eh?!
If you had to replace a song from the DM album with a B-side from the same era, what would it be & why?

I think all the songs on DM had a place on it, but if I had to replace one it would be Shakermaker and I'd put Listen Up in there instead. Listen Up is one of my favorite songs and it really deserved to be on Stop The Clocks.
It's often said that Oasis should have held off on their B-sides and instead used them as their third album instead of what ended up being BHN. If you could back in time and tell the Noel to do that, would you, or do you think the way it turned out was how it happened and was for the best?

I dont think they should have. I loved BHN so thats why. But in a sucess point of view it would have been better for them to have out the masterplan as there 3rd album.
Do you think Grunge is to blame for the poor Oasis popularity in the US?

No, it that they don't play the game and suck up to the industry. As soon as they neared mainstream (1995), they started getting bad press, whether its tabloids or overtly biased reviews...though no one could deny they were making the best music. That kind of thinking carried on in 1998 by which time the media had lost interest in them and now to this day, people generally speaking are quick to dismiss them without knowing a thing about them.
What is/was the most expensive piece of Oasis memorabilia that you "coaxed" yourself into getting? (you know, for the collection...we all do it)

Not quite Oasis memorabilia but i bought the same red Gibson guitar that Noel uses and that werent cheap. other than that, i paid over the odds for the vinyl boxset.
If you could interview Nole Gallagher what would be the most important question you'd ask?
|
|
|
Post by kenneth on Aug 13, 2010 5:02:36 GMT -5
Very standard answer to your question here, PA, but I'd ask Noel mostly about unreleased tunes. Whenever one of the Gallagher bros is interviewed, I enjoy mostly reading the bits where they talk of songs left over from recording sessions etc. Unfortunately, in most cases, we never get to hear these songs. Such a shame... Again, a bit of a standard question: If you where stuck in a deserted island or something with Noel and his guitar, and you could see the rescue chopper in the horizon, which one song would you ask Noel to play on his guitar before the chopper would get there?

Champagne Supernova. Are there any recordings of Noel singing it?
Or if also non-Oasis songs are allowed, maybe "There is a light that never goes out". I love Noel's version at the TCT. Beautiful.
Are there songs on an Oasis-album you don't want your mates to hear because they're too embarrassing? Or maybe even a whole album?

Force Of Nature, Little James or Get Off Your High Horse Lady....Think all three qualify tbh. All bad lyrics and all bad recordings. All plain awful!!
What's the one unreleased song you would love to hear fully recorded and finalised and released?

Everybodys on the run. Amazing, I love playing this on the guitar.
Should Noels TCT gigs be released for charity on DVD? ;-)

Was Oasis your favorite current artist of the past decade?
