The Importance of Being Idle, Be Here Now, Lord Don't Slow Me Down ----- Least fav artwork? All the DOYS artwork. Like the album itself it's absolutely APPALLING. --------------------------------- Best Oasis song to get Jiggy with? If I'm being ambitious, All Around The World Realistically though, Songbird Has an Oasis song ever had a significant, deep meaningful impact on you?

This was a good thread, let's bring it back.
And of course! To pick just one, I can remember those first formative years of getting into music, when each new song you fall in love with takes on a mythic significance, and finding out that the theme tune to The Royle Family was that band I'd heard about with the brothers who hated each other. Half the World Away to this day feels like it could swallow up the rest of my music taste whole, it's that perfect and so belonging to my own culture and part of the world.
What do you think is the best Oasis instrumental? I don't mean stuff like The Swamp Song, but if all Oasis songs had the vocals removed, which would leave the best instrumental behind?

I think The Turning works great as an instrumental piece. It's layered in a very interesting way and the mood is great.
Which song you'd wish they performed live? (liam on vocals): The Turning, IHITIK, Bag It Up, She's Electric, Stay Young, Boy With the Blues or Girl in the Dirty Shirt.

They played Stay Young (with Liam on vocals) throughout the Be Here Now tour. If you could re-order (but not change the selected songs) any of the singles for any one of the albums, what would you change and what impact do you think it would have had on that album's success?

I think if a trimmed Stand By Me is the international first single for Be Here Now, the album gets a #1 in America, and the song becomes the one of the band's biggest tracks, even more so than already. If you make it a better mix as well, I honestly think it'd be right up there with the Morning Glory singles. Plus, I think the album gets a better reception due to the incredible moment of everyone pressing play with no idea what the start will be like, and D'You Know What I Mean coming out of the speakers for the first time. International sales would be higher, too - a classic, melodic, anthem single like that is just what the world was ready for in summer '97, I think, and that track would have been met with constant airplay.
If you could bring in one vocalist to try singing an Oasis song, who would it be, and what song?
