I don't really forget Oasis songs as I've listened to them all a million times. But I would say the one that I don't come across often then when I hear it, think- "This song deserves more attention" is Gas Panic!
Who's more at fault for the split- Liam or Noel? Or is the blame equal?

I don't really know.
If Oasis were from the 60's, would they be held in the same regard as the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, etc?

no. i think that they would be above those bands. Honestly, the sheer quality and depth of their entire discography is unrivaled, and the biggest criticism are that theyve ripped off tunes from other bands...
what do you think the best oasis gig of all time is?

I think if Oasis were from the 60s theyd be up there with the best, but they wouldnt touch The Beatles.
Who in Oasis do you think is best at his instrument?

It seems to me that Gem is the one.

"I'm older than I wish to be / this town holds no more for me / All my life, am trying to find a better day" Just because it spoke and still speaks so much to me about being down and not wanting to be where you are. I just love it and I will always think of it as my favourite line.
You're favourite oasis dvd?

There and Then! Those two concerts were so emblematic. Until this very day The Swamp Song gives me chills, Liam entering in the middle of the song and then yelling "manchester are you mad fer it?". Absolutely fantastic!
If you could invite Noel for a cup of coffee or a few beers, where would you take him and what would be the one thing you really wanted to say to him?

I'd take him to KFC. I once had this dream that I met Noel in a KFC after my cousins wedding and he autographed a piece of chicken for me.
As for what I'd say, I dont know. I think i'd be too scared to approach Noel and talk, given he could be uber grumpy (even though i'd half expect it, it'd still be very unpleasant) though I think Liam would be more pleasant.
What was the first Oasis single you bought?

Only got into the band in 2006 so I'd say SOTL.
What tracks (post your tracklisting and album name) would make it on the Masterplan 2?

Pass Me Down The Wine Lord Don't Slow Me Down Eyeball Tickler I Believe In All Let's All Make Believe Revolution Song Idler's Dream Thank You For The Good Times Shout It Out Loud The Boy With The Blues Can You See It Now?
I think that order would work. At least the start of the album. Maybe I've missed some obvious song..
Worst Oasis single?

Flashbax! Love that tune!
Shakermaker/Who feels love. When played live those songs aren't that bad, but I don't get why they chose those songs instead of Rock 'n roll star/Gas panic! I'm not mentioning "She Is Love" because it's saved by "Little By Little", a song I really like. (Why do so many people here seem to hate that one?)
Which song should have been sung by Noel instead of Liam? (Or the other way around?)

With regards to the b side compilation you missed, D'yer Wanna Be A Spaceman, The Fame, My Sister Lover and It's Better People.
Liam should have sung 'Full On'. Noel should have sung 'The Hindu Times', and kept it as the demo version.
Most overrated Oasis song?, either on these boards or in general.

Because b-sides from the 90s are already used on The Masterplan. Sorry if I miss understood your question.

Part Of The Queue. I like it but some people on here think it's the best thing since sliced bread. What's your favourite Oasis bootleg?

The bootleg from Rock Werchter 2009. Mainly because of personnel reasons.(Although it was a great gig). It's the only time I saw them live. Unfortunately I only knew a couple of songs at the time(Wonderwall, Let there be Love and I'm Outta time). So you can understand they absolutely blew me away when they opened with Rock 'n Roll star. Didn't saw that one coming! =) After that gig (2th July) I went on vacation for a month. When I got home I started to discover them. After a few days I had a new favorite band. Unfortunately, only a few weeks after I became obsessed with them, they split up. =( So the only time I saw them live, was when I wasn't a fan yet, 2 months before they'd split up. Every time I listen to that gig I get a bid sad and happy at the same time.
What was the first song you discovered from Oasis? (After Wonderwall probably)

When I began to discover there music and was really interested, I think it was The Boy with the blues I heard before many of the albums tracks. The hit singles I would of already heard, there's no escaping them!
What's your favourite song from Dig out your soul?

Falling Down - I just think it is great and it really fits in with the entire album and as a final single
Most underated Oasis song? (either on these boards or in real life)

Force of Nature.
This board hates that song and it isn't even that bad.
Funniest line/answer in an interview with a Gallagher?

Noel: "THIS IS HISTORY! RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! THIS IS HISTORY!"
Liam: No it fuckin' isn't you daft twat. This is Knebworth!
Haven't heard this one on a bootleg/on youtube, but read it somewhere, brilliant if it's true =D
Next question: Name one small thing/fact concerning oasis that shocked you the most when you discovered it. (So not the fact that they broke up etc.)

Liam having a daughter he apparently doesn't acknowledge...
Do you like Liam and Noel as persons? Why? Why not? What do you think are the good characteristics of each?

The whole Liam's daughter thing is quite sad, but we don't know the facts.
I like both of them - I like Liam's eccentricity and wildness and Noel's wisdom, wit and honesty. I used to think Liam was a total dick but I've always like Noel. I liked the fact that his opinions on music were similar to mine when I thought I was the only one who thought like that! It was like 'wow, this guy talks sense'.
What do you think Noel's solo album will be like?

Post by wrightfan6 on Aug 8, 2010 18:47:01 GMT -5
I think his solo album will be mostly acoustic. Maybe with a few guest artist similar to slash's solo album. I bet it will be up there with WTSMG and DM.
Do you honestly think the quality of Oasis songs declined after Be Here Now like some people and most critics say?

I think they were less consistent but most of their music since the millennium was still brilliant. As well as being the band of the 90s they were also the band of 00s. In my eyes anyway.
How many albums do you think 'Beady Eye' will make?

I think they will release 2-3. If the first one flops Liam will feel the need to redeem himself (in which case 2). If it is successful he will just do it 'cause he's madferit (in which case 3 then an Oasis reunion).
Think Liam will ever release a Pretty Green scent?
