whan i heard the gig i suddenly realised how important alan white was for the oasis sound. acquiesce with zak... horrible! i got used to this but the cool oasis sound i like disappeared with alan white. and liam dressed like a clown. together with the crap drumming oasis almost seemed like a carricature of themselves.

i think that it was just really uninspired and boring
typical festival crowd.
liams vocals were a bit hit and miss. CS was awful but songs like my generation and live forever were decent.
also noels vocals were pretty bollocks and he was a bit bored. one of the worst DLBIA.

i've never read a load of comments from so called fans about their fave band, coldplay are shit live all the time but their fans dont slag em off.glastonbury was great, zak weren't with em for long so he had to figure out the drumming for the tracks, maybe they were slowed down to make it easier for him? i dunno.
i think also with liam,it depends what kinda mood he's in by how good or bad he sings.

i agree with songbird11
the fact that theres a thread on here called" 'gigs where liam has sounded shitte!" is testimony to how some people fixate and really rip it out of their 'favourite' band.

After viewing some videos, I'm thinking that this peformance was definitely better than it gets credit for. Liam sneers, hold his notes, and is well on key (for themost part). He sounds pretty alright to me! Rocknroll Star: Bring it on Down: Songbird: Columbia:

Wait, so just because they're our favorite band doesn't mean we can be critical of them when they fuck up? Fuck that.

I actually liked the gig. I can see why people slag it off but it's whatever. Liam's jacket is fucking epic though. Don't care what you say.

Fuck that. of course we can be critical but most of the oasis fans are not simply critical they slag off the band, particularly Liam and this is very unfair most of the time, like in this case of the glaston.. did he sing like in the 90's? fuck no, but why can't we apreciate it for what it is? he did a good job at the vocals, not perfect but not bad at all he had tons of other awful performances, like most of the DBTT tour and the Brits 2007 what i don't like about that gig is Liam's pathetic sense of fashion and the band's behaviour, so uninspired and boring

Most Oasis fans always talk about how great of a singer he is, and how 'he's one of the best rock singers ever', but the band has to play the same songs over and over because he can't sing a lot of them. What a great fucking singer he is. Hell, he can barely sing half the ones Oasis still plays. When I first saw the Glastonbury 2004 performances a few years ago I remember thinking 'wow. this is awful'. But after I read this thread I decided to go look at some of the performances and if Liam sang like that nowadays people would take it in a heartbeat. That performance is good compared to how he's been doing.

Liam deserves to be slagged. No one deserves to be slagged. I don't understand what it is that really annoys you about Liam, cause you are always attacking him I don't hate Liam at all. I just get tired of everyone praising him to be such a great lead singer, when he's really mediocre at best. What 'great singers' do you know that can't sing more than half of their band's catalog live? Everyone can praise him, but no one can slag him/be critical? If you see Oasis live it's a crapshoot whether Liam will ruin the performance or not with his voice. 'Great' lead singers don't provide that type of anxiety . . .

this is definitely all a joke to me,the world loves chris martin yeah? he has an issing problem when he sings so fuck knows why anyone buys them. yellow for example, look at the starsssssssssss, fuckin horrible voice & that's recorded in a studio.they seem okay people but they need a new singer. strange though their fans are dedicated to em & buy their cds, oasis fans don't bother? well most of em. oasis are mega live, fuckin ultimate imo,no band has a better setlist, although it hardly changes you wont beat em. not everyone at an oasis gig is a real fan, just a night out for em,same as this forum alot of non oasis fans acting out to be oasis fans to get the real fans slagging em off. i might join some forums of shit bands i hate like take that, coldplay, kings of leon etc .... & do what other people do.

Your attacks are always seem personnal toward him. I'm sure he hasn't wanted his voice to fail like it has over the last few years. On record he still sounds great, and if you actually go to the gig he sounds good too. What else do you need? Did Liam get with your mum or something?

and here's me who got into Oasis while watching their performance at Glasto 2004 on BBC at that Friday night.
Don't laugh at me, but something caught me and I bought my very first Oasis albums (DM and HC) 3 days later.

To be fair I don't think Oasis are a festival band. Part of the charm of seeing them live is how the crowd hang on every line but this isn't the case as much at festivals. It seems a bit flat when the crowd aren't going for it as much.

i agree with songbird11 the fact that theres a thread on here called" 'gigs where liam has sounded shitte!" is testimony to how some people fixate and really rip it out of their 'favourite' band. hey it is just subjective thing, isn't it? i personally don't give a fuck wether liam sings right or not. i never thought he was a great singer anyway... i do care about the drums and i thought zak spoiled most of the songs (not just because he played very slow...). but okay, some people like him as the oasis drummer. and some people care a lot about liams singing... i guess, no matter what's important for you: this night, almost everything was worse than before. AND: coldplay is a great live band. at least from what i've seen and heard.

not everyone who went to glastonbury 2004 was an oasis fan, mixed people go to festivals to either see there fave bands/artists or they go for a day out i guess, obviously all the oasis haters will boo em,& people think oasis fans aren't grown up??
chris martin at the brits when they were on,he was trying to be bono waving his arms everywhere, what a joke.people slag off oasis but they're just themselves & as real as you can get,im not trying to go off topic or to just slag off coldplay, but people never see these kinda things with bands like coldplay & whoever else, most people i know hate oasis because of liam or noel,or the both of em,saying they're arrogant etc ....
almost every band now are fake as fuck, making out they like any & every band going,if you dotn like a band it should be okay to say it,so 1 performance like glastonbury,if it weren't up to standards so what? with everything else surrounding oasis no one else come close.
