When I first heard D'You Know What I Mean? on the radio back in 1997, I was certain Liam was singing about strawberries in the bridge  For which lyrics? xD On my shoulder he/strawberry asked me why I couldn't make the words out for that line but I was convinced it was something about strawberries |

I always used to think Liam sang "I can't be no one else" instead of "I can be no one else" in Supersonic. Not sure what's printed in the actual lyrics. I guess whoever translated the lyrics for the Japanese edition of Definitely Maybe misheard a line... their English translation of the lyrics to Rock n Roll Star has the line "Look at you now you roll in my hands tonight" instead of "Look at you now you're all in my hands tonight." To be fair, the Japanese interpretation is closer to a phonetic spelling of how Liam delivers the line... they didn't type "sun-she-ine" later on though Or, indeed, lasaaaaaagnnyer in Digsy's Dinner. |

I always used to think Liam sang "I can't be no one else" instead of "I can be no one else" in Supersonic. Not sure what's printed in the actual lyrics. Mine was similar, I thought for a bit that the line was "I copy no-one else". I don't think there's many Oasis lines that can be misheard, they're generally not that complex. |

Always thought it was 'so salican way' and thought those are retarded lyrics..
Also some might say: 'cause i've been standing at the spaceship in need of education..'
Its getting better man: almost all of it..its like he's speaking a different language

Cus I just wanna fly Thought it said got engrossed for years, was sort of disappointed when I finally realised it said 'Garden grows' Don't even know why, its not like I even ever use that word myself, I just thought it sounded right so went with it. Way off as it turned out. |

I think I speak on behalf of many who thought Don't Look Back In Anger was "If its not our day" instead of night or day. In fact it was only on the last misheard lyrics thread on here that I learned it wasn't! That was when I found out also. I couldn't believe it when I found out. Just out of curiosity, anybody know what Noel sings live? Is it "Not our day" or "night or day"? "If its night or day" Really though, you all have THAT hard a time understanding them?? |
