"Out to sea, is the only place I am asleep" That's what I thought it was until you posted that line here.

Funnily enough, none of them come to mind right now. Is that because you don't know any Oasis songs? You could be right, but then again, maybe you're not. Hence, Definitely Maybe! I am really into lyrics and how they effect and affect a song, so I generally look up the official lyrics early on after hearing an Oasis tune. So, thats why nothing comes to mind. "Maybe I don't want to know how you pick your nose. . ." -Classic Liam change

I use to think 'So sally can wait' was 'So silicon way' back in the nineties when i was younger.

I thought in the turning it was shake your ragdoll, not reptile... but that'd probably make more sense anyway!

Supersonic - and I still don't know which one is correct:
I can't be no one else vs. I copy no one else.
Same exact meaning, but I can never hear it properly.

At a party at my house the other night, IPod on shuffle and Underneath The Sky came on and a mate said: "Bit gay innit?" When I asked what he meant he said he thought the lyrics said:" "As we drink to ourselves And we amuse ourselves Underneath this guy / Underneath this guy again "

have you misheard lyrics in Oasis songs? when I first heard Lyla I thought the lyrics were "she's the queen of all I've seen, and every town and city'll fall and kneel, heaven'll help my maemoiselle-she ring the bell for all the world to kneel" also I was searching up the lyrics for the Hindu Times to figure out the "God give me soul and all rock and roll babe" part and this person thought the words were " cos god give me some-he know I can't rollerblade"

^ Ha ha, I thought Lyla was 'Heaven help my mama's ill, she ring the bell for all the world to hear'. I tried to look for the other thread of this but couldn't, so good you started it up again because until very recently, I got Where Did It All Go Wrong completely wrong.
The bit where Noel sings 'I hope the tears don't stain the world that waits outside' was 'I hope the tears don't stain the world at which I sigh'. I always think that's a pretty good misheard lyric actually.

In Hindu Times I thought it was
God give me a song and a rock and roll band.
There's some more but can't think of them yet. I'll get back to this when some pop up in my head.

I used to think it said "Though It's attitude the man who lives in hell" in SMS. Years ago like, haha.

Shakermaker: "I'd like to build myself a house out across the sea"
Roll It Over: "I can give the hundred million reasons to build a better place"
Frankly, I like my versions better. Make much more sense.

When i first heard Acquiesce, i was quite young about 8 or so.
And cos the title was Acquiesce i used to think the "What's sleeping in our soul" was just Liam singing "Acquiiiiiiiesce"
Silly i know.

I think I speak on behalf of many who thought Don't Look Back In Anger was "If its not our day" instead of night or day. In fact it was only on the last misheard lyrics thread on here that I learned it wasn't! And I'm very embarrassed to say I sang "I'll book myself into a soulless island" for many a year for Half The World Away.
